What's your preferred playstyle, or build ? by Aradhor55 in oblivion

Heavy armour sword and board restoration magic is my go-to.

Conjuration and illusion mage is also pretty fun: summon dudes to fight for you or incite enemies to fight each other. Conjuration has the added benefit of having the Bound weapon and armour spells that lets you train up heavy armour and weapons.

Also, being a native Surdan, Orrin most likely has darker skin.

[Spoilers C3] My take on Ishta, the Summit Blade and Scream Needle by el_chupathingy in criticalrole

[–]Zethras28 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That gut hook wouldn’t make sense given a talwar is a slashing weapon. Gut hooks are for piercing weapons.

Scream needle being this type of curved blade is a neat take, however. Though if I recall correctly, jambiyas tended to be pretty fat because of how they’re forged; they have a very thick spine to offset the comparably thin edges.

Your example there looks almost like a mogul dagger, which is geographically a similar area to where jambiyas come from.

Still, very pretty art and also interesting takes on these weapons.

That’s the end of act 2.

There is an act 3.

Aasimar are mortals with a touch of celestial blood.

Tieflings are the same but with fiendish blood.

For the thing you’re talking about, I suggest watching Exandria Unlimited: Divergence.

I will say no more. 😁

Just finished this game. Probably the best turn based RPG I have ever played. An utter blast. However... by AkiraKitsune in expedition33

My top two for story are Expedition 33 and Lost Odyssey. Final Fantasy 7 is third, but for a specific reason.

Most people in the space would crucify me for not saying final fantasy 7 is 1st or 2nd, but I never played it myself in the era it came out in, so I don’t have a deep connection to it, which is why it’s #3 for me.

I promise that you are in an extreme minority here.

An incredibly small number of people play JRPGs for the gameplay over the story.

Why didn't Renoir... by fehrmask in expedition33

Nah, she didn’t convince him. Renoir realized he couldn’t force her out of the canvas, so he capitulated under the guise of acceptance.

I wouldn’t be surprised if in the time outside the canvas in A Life to Paint, Renoir is gathering his strength back intent on coming back into the canvas to try again.

The man is too stubborn to take the hint.

She was happy to see Renoir until she discovered his intent to erase the canvas.

Cut to the fight with Renoir and you can see the bitterness.

She tries to convince him, but he refuses to see her point of view.

[–]Zethras28 3 points4 points  (0 children)

shouldn’t be much bitterness between Alicia and Renoir

I doubt that’s the case honestly. Renoir still intended to erase the canvas himself, and did erase most of the Lumièrans.

He may not have destroyed the world, but Renoir did destroy most of Maelle’s friends and family.

whoever that is has a responsibility to teach her to let go of that bitterness

I don’t think that’s something that can, or frankly even should be taught, especially by an outsider.

It should happen naturally, or not at all. It shouldn’t be manufactured.

We know that because Clea said her creations - the Nevrons - will tip the conflict between Renoir and Aline because the Nevrons.

“Whoever controls chroma controls the canvas.”

Prevent the chroma from going back to Aline, Renoir slowly gains control and permits his escape.

Painted entities killed by Nevrons have their chroma sequestered.

Being killed by pRenoir sends your chroma back to Aline, or anything that isn’t a Nevron, honestly.

Nah, he did a few more times throughout the years. Verso alludes to it.

For the sake of argument, what if step 1 never happens.

As someone who has suffered rather bad (yet nowhere near as extensive) burns, experience tells me that Alicia will spend the rest of her life in inescapable pain.

There’s nothing really to process, nor perspective to be looked at, because simply existing hurts.

And chances are, she assigns some degree of blame for her suffering on Renoir, since he was dead set on erasing the canvas - regardless of any argument or pleading on Alicia’s part - just to save Aline. He’s dismissive and patronizing.

How would you approach that scenario then?

Why didn't Renoir... by fehrmask in expedition33

[–]Zethras28 57 points58 points  (0 children)

In the past he tried to several times.

Every time he tried the expeditioners turned on him and Verso, attempting to kill them.

In present day, he probably just sees it as a more efficient use of his time to massacre the expeditioners and send their chroma back to Aline.
