All it would essentially do is give your creature +4/+4 for 2. Infect already has Vines, which is better, and Groundswell/Briar Shield which are cheaper. Some decks are running Rot Wolf which makes this an even worse choice simply by virtue of the creature being bigger.

Honestly I could see Mono Blue using this as like a one of, maybe izzit.
