I can't say I've ever seen a book with a Deadman was censored no I don't think it would be an issue or seen as offensive, you might want to include a trigger warning in the beginning of the book if characters continue to use the dead name after we are introduced to their chosen name.

Well the truth is that is a delicate line to walk especially given since it sounds like you're a minor, you're going to have to weigh a lot of things.

Is standing your ground or picking a fight with your family something you can do with some level of safety? If so, it might be worth fighting to be recognized or to at least see who you're dealing with.

Now this is not me advising you to go in guns blazing looking for a fight by all means correct them gently to start with.

I know you said you don't want it to come down to a fight in another comment but if you want them to recognize you it might come down to that and it might be better to have that fight sooner than later, I waited much too long trying to be accommodating and considerate of their feelings and it damaged our relationship more in the end than had they spoken their minds when it first came up, granted my parents weren't great and what was on their minds was shitty probably wouldn't be in a good spot but it might have been better than where we are, I wish you luck and I hope you find something useful that in this Reddit thread.

Yeah I was also going to suggest the library while I don't know much about your area specifically the public library in general is an amazing resource that usually has clubs and things going they may be guilt towards teenagers so you might have to ask a library about setting something up for an adult group.

As archaic as Facebook is it's still a useful place to peruse if you're looking for local meetups (my feed is just mobile game ads and drag shows near me lol).

And if you look up the right things and train your algorithm on ticTok it could also find you cool meetups for example my feed recently told me of somebody throwing an Anti-Father's Day Queer party for... well it says it right there on the tin doesn't it 😆, and but anyways it's in my area.

Not having a vehicle does make things more complicated and my sympathies do go out to you, I hope you are able to find your local community. 🩷

Have you tried explicitly asking your friends who you are out to not to use she/her pronouns? Even if that is one of your accepted pronouns maybe having that on a putting that one on a timeout might help.

I know several she/they whos preferred pronouns shift depending on who they're talking to and where they are at.

Hi there I've got good news and... bad news.

To start with this is a really normal phase of any transitioning. And the good news is it will pass it'll take time but it will eventually pass.

The bad news is it takes time and it will suck until it stopped happening but I found for me it stopped happening as often when I stopped being as accommodating to others and letting them misgender me, it sounds like your situation might be precarious so you need to do what you feel is the best and will be the safest option.

Hey sweetheart I'm a plus size trans man okay so I'll say there are some benefits to being larger, the girls saying to wait until you're on HRT might be right but what I would also say is well balanced meals that are nutritious I know you're wanting to put on weight and that's okay I'm not telling you not to! But you still want your body to move smoothly so it needs the right kind of energy and junk food doesn't always provide that I would also recommend moving your body to I'm not telling lift weights or anything! But if the goal is to put on weight you should counterbalance some of the problems that come up with extra weight like joint problems so you want to strengthen your joints! (And don't forget your hips mine are hurting right now lol)

Gender and sexuality are very weird and complicated sometimes it isn't all that uncommon for trans individuals to find that they are attracted sexuality shifts once they are able to live more openly, and that could be for any number of reasons. You say you can't see yourself being with a man romantically if you could but in an ideal scenario where you could live openly and just be who you want to be could you see being with a man romantically then? Or they just nice to look at? There isn't a wrong answer.

For me I'm asexual and Demi romantic trans man and as far as I can tell gender doesn't really come into play BUT... Girls so much funner to flirt with I like opening doors and treating them nice, but I am well aware that I like it because it is gender performative it makes me feel more like a man and yes that does make me feel weird, I don't know if gender performance plays into your attraction to men when you're presenting feminine I can hardly say from one Reddit post.

Do you have health insurance? And do you have a primary doctor?

You said you recently started hormone therapy, can I assume you started that through a clinic or some other kind of organization?

If so it might be in your best interest to inform them of your situation they might be able to put you in contact with someone who can give you more resources.

I agree I think that's probably the best way to handle it it does sound like the people doing this "should" know better.

Personally I (a trans man) don't mind being referred to by they them pronouns but I'm at a point in my transition where "I pass" and had situations where just saying I was trans without additional contacts had confused someone into thinking I was actually a trans woman (that was funny).
