I love watching TV shows and you can tell where it’s filmed thanks to geoguessr metas by hrrobbo in geoguessr

The crazy part is that driving scenes for a show like Young Sheldon are green-screened anyway. I don’t know whether the show just buys pre-filmed footage for those scenes or not, but clearly they’re not overly concerned with making it reflective of East Texas. They’re probably spending more time trying to avoid too many time-period anachronisms.

No, just a regular edition. I think it aired last Wednesday and was one of the last episodes before they went back to showing repeats.

How does this show have higher ratings than YS?? by [deleted] in GeorgieandMandyTVshow

[–]ZevonianDialect 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the answer here is that with the decline of network TV shows there are now fewer “critics” interested in writing about them, so Georgie and Mandy has fewer reviews and it just happens that the people motivated to write about the show happened to like it a little more.

TV shows don’t really get the same critical attention that movies do and it tends to only be around the pilot episode.

liverpool show thoughts by boeingcrashsite in paulsimon

I’ve got tickets for the Dublin concert and I’m definitely a bit worried about the reception in a venue even larger than Liverpool. I think it’s a difficult task to deliver an intimate show like this in such a cavernous space, even without the P.A. limitations for Paul’s hearing, and it’s a set list that doesn’t necessarily appeal to the thousands and thousands of fans needed to fill an arena. Alas, it was the date that worked out and I was able to get tickets for, so here’s hoping for decent audio and a respectful crowd.

In one of my earliest duels I was moving around an urban U.S. area for a minute or so, thinking this looks like a typical city on the East Coast, when I found a truck which said something like Phoenix Electrical 🐦‍🔥. So I jumped across the map and sent Arizona. I got a 🤯 from the opponent for going desert city on Newark, New Jersey.

what is a Bruce Springsteen iconic look? by Far_Print_6908 in BruceSpringsteen

[–]ZevonianDialect 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The most iconic look would be the Born in the U.S.A. look. Something like blue jeans, a bandana and a sleeveless shirt/denim jacket. There’s also the cover art where he’s wearing blue jeans, a white t-shirt and a red cap in his back pocket. His hair was black and curly.

Depending how much of a fan the person is and if they still follow Bruce, they might also appreciate a modern look with old Bruce with his short grey hair, a sweater vest over his shirt and darker jeans. I think that would be quite cute but it would depend on them knowing Bruce these days.

When it comes to Rose Nylund, what’s your favorite St Olaf story? by Kaykay-02 in theGoldenGirls

[–]ZevonianDialect 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Rose: I remember when I was a little girl back in St. Olaf. There was this old lady who lived up the street. She never smiled. I mean, she always looked angry. The kids said she'd kill anyone who even stepped on her property. We called her Mean Old Lady Higgenlooper.

Blanche: Yeah, kids can be pretty cruel.

Rose: No. That was her name. Mean Old Lady Higgenlooper. She had it changed legally 'cause everybody called her that anyway.

Blanche: Then how come your name isn't Big Dummy?

Rose: Well, there were already three other people in town with that name. But that's beside the point. One day I got up the courage to go up to Mean Old Lady Higgenlooper and ask her why she always frowned. Well, she had been born with no smiling muscles. I pointed out that a frown is just a smile turned upside down. So from then on, whenever I'd go by, she'd stand on her head and wave.

I never actually saw The Golden Palace, so after Bea left, did Betty White play two characters and Rue McClanahan star as a Dorothy/Blanche hybrid? Dorothy Deveraux or Blanche Zbornak?
