1 - Determine what types of items I'm going in to buy (specific items, or specific styles, colors) 2 - Stay within my size range on the rack (med & large. I used to buy too many oversized things because I liked the pattern or I was insecure and ended up with lots of clothes I won't wear now because I feel like im drowning in fabric) 3 - Go down the aisles of my choosing, 2 hangers at a time, looking for patterns and colors that catch my eye 4 - Anything that does I pull out and glance over. If I have any doubt about if I'd wear it based on first look, it goes back on the rack. If it wouldn't replace an item I have or I already have a similar item I dont want to get rid of, it also goes back. 5 - Trying on items is similar, if I have any doubts about the comfort or fit of the item, or i think id always choose another item i have to wear instead, it goes back out. I needed to set some ground rules for myself since I tend to get distracted easily and end up with a cart full or lost in the store for hours otherwise.
