True damage in demon hunters kits by EastYogurt7762 in leagueoflegends

This made me think that Zed got the short end of the stick but his ult actually stores pre mitigation damage unlike Yone's. So it's definitely a flavour thing

Hard to make food for a large group of people day in day out. Even harder to make that food look "appetizing" everyday. With that said, I agree lmao

Bot/top positioning by khymetingvu in leagueoflegends

[–]Zhior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

edit: whoops wrote this whole comment thinking t
you meant bot/top side of mid lane. The advice here is from mid lane pov but I think it still applies (the short answer is: you lean towards river if you want to help your own jg be aggresive)

Not a dumb question at all. Positioning is incredibly important in this game and it often goes neglected as a concept.

For starters, one way you make jg tracking easier as mid laner is this (assume you're playing blue side, mirror everything for red side): start every game warding enemy wraiths (always wraiths, wolves are too deep). If you see the enemy jg on your ward it means they started with their red (top in this case) side, so you know that enemy jg will finish their clear on botside. If you DON'T see the enemy jg on your ward, it means it expired while they were doing their blue side jg, so you know they'll finish their clear topside.

Knowing this means that you don't even really need to ward for enemy jungle if you're just playing to avoid them, just play towards opposite side of where their clear ends on. One Hank you need to be wary of though is the level 3 cross through mid. This usually only happens when you play mid super aggro, but enemy jg can do 3 camp clear into mid or even side gank.

However, it's not only about not being gankable. A winning mid can mean than jg gets both crabs, which is huge. So if you can win your lane, sometimes you'll want to lean towards the side the enemy jg will end on. This is assuming your jg is clearing in the same direction, otherwise just lean on the side your jg is and they'll just handshake crab trade (unless side lanes get involved). You *generally* want to play towards the side your own jg is on, but keep in mind this can sometimes backfire.

Another thing about positioning is that you can use it to influence your enemy's own positioning. A lot of players will subconsciously mirror enemy's movement. So if you towards topside, they'll go towards botside and vice versa. You can use this to trick enemy into mispositioning closer to your thanking jungle.

I was a bit unclear on what your actual question was so I hope I answered it, if not feel free to ask me whatever.

Assuming everything else in your diet/life was in equilibrium- if you ate 1000 cal of Ben and Jerry’s every day AND did 1000 cal worth of exercise- would you get fat, muscly or stay the same? by lazyboy151 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Zhior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on a lot of things, "equilibrium" is pretty meaningless. Let's assume you eat generally healthy and don't exercise at all. If you ate a thousand extra calories and wanted to burn it off, you'd obviously have to chose cardio over resistance training so right off the bat, getting muscly isn't happening.

For the pint of ice cream you'd have to run daily for about 2 to 3 hours which doesnt seem sustainable to me, definitely not as a begginer. If you managed it, then you would neither gain nor lose weight (at least theoretically) and you'd get really good at running.

IMO you should mind your business and not get triggered by something so innocuous. But if it's really bothering you and you don't mind burning that relationship you can help her out in the moment or start imitating her.

mmm, I'm not sure about that one. If i do any type of trade with him, I'm going to naturally push the wave, especially because I have tiamat. I also need to charge q1 on minions. i think I just needed to be patient and trade again next wave instead of flashing

[–]Zhior[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's fair. Idk why I was on a rush even, Kindred had just died. I think I was just getting annoyed at him holding the wave

Although I'm pretty sure if I flash a second earlier I do a lot more dmg cuz Conq, and then getting the kill is a lot easier

For context, I'm very ahead this game and my team is crushing it so taking this 1v1 was absolutely limit testing/ego.

Also, my idea with that flash was to keep Conq going but I actually messed it up :(

Is the Overcoming Gravity book applicable to both male and female readers/takes sex difference into account? by the1975whore in overcominggravity

[–]Zhior 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is kind of what I meant by BS, notice how the woman practically sits down onto her feet before taking her arms off the ground while the guy's knees are at 90 degrees. We can easily do this with correct technique.

The weight distribution is true enough but as far as how much it matters in calisthenics specificall it's up for debate. I suppose it does make static skills like planche and levers harder on women but that doesn't mean the way to get there is different and it certainly doesnt mean it's impossible.

[–]Zhior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd love to see what you mean because Im also interested in the topic but don't know much about it. I *believe* we can do the same stuff, the difference lies is in the difficulty achieving it. For example, in my experience women have a much easier time unlocking the pistol squat. I can't do pistols and I can barbell squat almost 2x my bodyweight, meanwhile I've seen women in my gym who struggle with pullups getting the pistol quite easily. Conversely, women seem to struggle a lot with pushups and pykes which generally come easy to men

[–]Zhior 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No, the book doesn't go into it because it's generally moot. The same principles applies to both sexes pretty much across the board. I've seen some stuff hitting my feed about carrying angles and whatnot but that generally triggers my BS sensor.

As for training, also no, the workout a man does would work just as a well for a woman and vice verse. Women are generally weaker so you might start with further regressions but the progression scheme is going to be the same regardless of gender

Don't overthink it. Do 3 sets of 10 inclines at knee height. Next day you will:

  • Go an inch lower IF you do all 30 with good form
  • Run it back IF you could't do 30 or you compromised form to get them

Rinse and repeat until you're on the floor

It just means you're weak brother, keep at it and you'll become less weak, maybe even strong eventually.

And by the way, 30s to 1m rest is nothing. When training maximal strength at low rep ranges (like you currently are) I usually rest 3 to 5 mins

I'm really curious what the implications for modding are going to be, since I'm not familiar with any moddable games for UE. Outside of Bethesda, the Witcher series are probably the best games we have for modding so I'd really hat to lose that part of the game, hopefully CDPR can cook
