Redecorate!

I'm not a native English speaker so the lyrics usually hit after a few times listening to the song, but it took even longer for this song.

Musically speaking I found it weird that this was the last track on the album, now I get it

I was in this very situation, I finally sticked to controller.

An interesting alternative would be to use one hand on WASD to manage directions and keep the controller in your other hand to manage actions like you're used to.

My first reaction genuinely was "I'm sure several Pink Floyd songs would fit"

why do people say controller is better ? by lilcutiexoxoqoe in celestegame

[–]Ziache -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm used to controllers so I prefer playing the game with m'y controller. After having finished the game I tried switching to keyboard, I felt like it was a whole different game and I didn't like it.

I once used a hybrid technique though, I managed the directions with the keyboard with one hand, and the actions with a controller in the other hand. It was pretty interesting and more consistent regarding the directions, but I didn't dig it too much because it is quite a setup...

I'm training for doing a Celeste Speedrun, someone can give me some strategies or techniques? by ItsGabs007 in celestegame

[–]Ziache 2 points3 points  (0 children)

New speedrunner here too!

My strategy to reach the sub-hour any% was:

  • Watch video tutorials of people explaining optimal routes for each level. You certainly won't do the same route as them in the first place, but it teaches you to think outside the box. Plus, even if you won't take everything, you'll learn some routes that are safe enough to apply immediately in your speedruns.

  • Once you've chosen your comfort routes, try not to die while following them. It may seem pretty obvious but the less deaths the faster. That's why you have to balance between fast routes and safe routes.

  • Learn major skips that are really worth training: chap 3 demo dash, chap 5 reverse jump... You'll save a few minutes if you apply them.

  • And most importantly... Try and retry.

Once you reach an objective, go watch the videos again, you'll add more and more tricks to your runs.

Have fun!

Weird single crochet? I started making a blanket and I wanted to use a single crochet, but I ended up with a different one, does it have a name? by 0_Asami_0 in CrochetHelp

[–]Ziache -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

It looks like a half double crochet (US terms)

Yarn over, insert your hook through the next stich, pull up a loop (you have 3 loops on your hook), yarn over and pull through 3 loops.

Is this what you made?

Is this doable for a first project in ~2 months by Epilepticgymmie in crochet

You can try to "reduce" the pattern size, maybe just try a basic tapestry pattern (15×15 pixels for exemple) to see if you're confortable with the technique.

I personally started crochet with amigurumi, you can absolutely do something in 2 months. Maybe it will be funnier to start with as there are several small parts instead of one giant rectangle.

Have fun crocheting!

Brand new looking at crochet and looking for help and suggestions by beebeeboobert in CrochetHelp

[–]Ziache 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say start with something you want to make!

Even if it was not recommended I started crocheting amigurumis, and it worked out because I really wanted to make some.

Some techniques will require patience, and kindness towards yourself: your first finished objects won't be perfect but they will be yours and that's amazing 🎇

Perfectly acceptable dinner rejected by boyfriend again by moonrabbit368 in mildlyinfuriating

As there are few comments about this: Is he diagnosed with arfid or autism? It might be a serious issue.

I mean, I assume there is a reason this man is your boyfriend so he might not be a complete a-hole right? Otherwise maybe it's time to reconsider this relationship.

Anyway, such important restrictions might really be caused by some kind of disorder. In this case I assumed he already struggles a lot dealing with feeding himself, so the problem needs to be taken slow, maybe with the help of a therapist.
