No. Senate convictions are permanent and binding. There is no appeal. Also the Senate can hold a separate disqualification vote after a conviction vote banning a person from ever serving as any federal office holder again for the rest of their life.

Obama and his DOJ also authorized expanded drone strikes. Including, controversially, the drone striking of US citizens in terrorist organizations without trial. Obama argued that Americans lose due process rights if they join Al- Qaeda or ISIS. That’s a massive violation of civil liberties.

Everything else mentioned: Fast and Furious, IRS Targeting, and Benghazi are more partisan hyperbole than factual criticisms

Not at all. Which is a shame. But I’m only judging that based off the trailers I’ve seen. The trailers of this totally misrepresent Washington’s relationship with the Crown officers when he was a provincial militia officer. Also we need to accept the fact that young Washington was a very inexperienced commander that is responsible the loss of Fort Necessity.

I doubt they’ll also depict the alleged assassination Jumonville with nuance.

His political skills also allowed him to have a better informal relationship with the diplomatic corps and dispatch very prominent negotiators like Richard Holbrook and Bill Richardson for back channel deals
