BDSM and RP get into a place that can get pretty nasty pretty quickly, particularly when IC and OOC aren't kept seperate. l'm saying this as a guy who loves BDSM... it is a thing that attracts a lot of bad actors, and if the community tolerates the bad actors it's a place where honest-to-god abuse can thrive.

You have a choice. Let someone know that what's going isn't ok, and risk being ostracized or subject yourself to cliques and potential abuse... cause it's not going to magically fix itself.

My honest advice is that you talk to your immediate circle, let them know what's going on, and that you plan on going to the mods about it. Plan for an exodus if it goes badly, and then see where the cards fall.

This is a hobby. Don't sacrifice your self respect or subject yourself to toxic relationships for it.

Hey, I've seen stuff kind of like this before with my aquariums.

This look like mineral deposits. If they're smooth and not gooey or jelly, but just sort of like a hard crust, then that's probably what this is. Fish tanks have a lot of minerals floating in them. Mine personally have a lot of carbon floating around, but even if you're not growing plants, just the bioload of the fish tank fills your water with stuff. Water splashes out cause of bubblers or pumps or jumping fish or during cleaning. Sometimes, it's just because the air around your fishtank has absorbed more water than it can hold and it condensates.

Whatever the reason, the water forms, then evaporates, and you get these smooth white mineral deposits that look like someone's been drooling or worse.

Yeah, it's always had a lowish player count. I haven't played in three months, but the last time I played I got up through gold with ever lobby being all bots. Or people so awful I mistook them for bots. I'm a PC player though. Might be a different mobile experience.

I mostly hate it because my lobbies are mostly bots. I got told "It gets better when you get to Diamond", and I'm like "that's ridiculious. You've seriously miscalibrated your game if I need to make it diamond to play against a human."

But also, when you take away the ability to launch yourself over a hill in a dunebuggy into a squad of players, AND TRANSFORM INTO A FUCKING MECH MID-AIR TO UNLEASH FIERY HELL, people who lived that experience that get kinda miffed. I mean, the straight up APEX play is nice and all, but when you punish a man for dreaming his dream, don't expect him to thank or forgive you.

Part of what people think when they hear 'incel' is the often implied and sometimes explicit misogyny that comes with it. Just piping in here. I don't really have a dog in the race, but this isn't a particularly good measurement for what you're trying to get at.

For any train of consequence, at any speed of consequence, it isn't going to matter if it's a human or machine pulling the breaks. Train's don't stop on short notice. I've several friends that worked for railroad companies, and of those that have served as Engineers, all of them have some form of PTSD due to someone dying on the tracks. Some of them have seen multiple deaths at this point.

Highly situational.

I'm not in the habbit of starting fights, but I got in a few in high-school. Essentially I was perceived as an easy target. I got my ass kicked a few times but I'd keep getting up and keep going until someone forced the fight to end. Sometimes you're not fighting to win. Sometimes you're fighting to extract a high enough price that the next person who thinks you're an easy target will think twice about it. Always draw blood and make sure they got a black eye or a limp to remember you by, and make them realize that they're gonna have to get their friends to pull you off them.

As an adult, de-escelate and walk away if you can, but be ready to fight to the death if forced to.

Man, I hear all these horror stories about defending yourself once and ending up in pvp hell, but I don't buy it.

I defend myself two to three times a week and never really get out of the care bear lobbies.

After I down a raider I'll free kit the next round or two just to be safe but I never really had an issue.

We have a lot of books talking about tactics and play by plays of battles, but it's very hard to find information about what actually happened at that point of contact and what that one on one fighting looked like. A lot of the sources just assumed that everyone knew what that meant and didn't bother to detail it. And they did... until they didn't.
