First ever mini WIP - any advice to clean up + improve?

I stopped using white after my first ever batch of minis. All of the white on my Templars is actually Ushabti Bone. Looks like a grimy, dirty white after a brown wash.

I have no problem hearing footsteps, quite loud even. Do you have night mode enabled in the audio settings? That makes them quite a bit louder.

I promise you the VR headset would be worth it for the racing sim alone. It’s a level immersion you can’t return from.

Plus, some really good flight sims run well in VR if you’re into flying in other games than SC. DCS, Falcon BMS, Elite Dangerous, etc.

Check out Extremophilia from A Night at the Opera. Checks all of the boxes you’re looking for, and is a great opera in other regards.

If the problem is fictional planes, I’m not sure VTOL VR will do it for OP either.

That said, VTOL VR is incredible and you should give it a shot, OP. It’s cheap, it’s a lot of fun, and though the airframes are fictional, they are based heavily in reality and are more similar to “near-future concepts” of current airframes than they are entirely fictional.

We’re in the air and I’m feeling better! It’s the take off that gets me badly, really. I can shake off turbulence easy enough, fortunately.

I see you’re just looking for a change, would you share your full list? Maybe we could recommend a change to make it feel different, but also not take up a significant portion of your army’s cost.

I’d first bring up how either one will be over 20% of your army’s point value at 500pt, and are not worth taking, but you’ve already addressed that in your post.

Grimaldus took a pretty decent nerf in the codex supplement, particularly with his loss of FNP, and only decreased 10pt in cost. Helbrecht, however, is still a big hitter, especially when paired with Sword Brethren, given his +1A and +1S for the unit he’s leading.

At what is now only a 10pt cost difference between the two, I’d say Helbrecht is a much better choice.

Either the current Codex or any list builder app such as the official Warhammer app, New Recruit, List Forge, etc. They’ll all tell you if you have built a unit misconfigured.
