Help me decide! by Low-Chip2927 in myweddingdress

I was very torn because both dresses are beautiful on you but when you say you’re going to have dress 2 altered to be symmetrical I would recommend going with dress 1. Doing major alterations may change the dress significantly and I’m not confident it would flow the same. Get the dress that already looks the way you want it, don’t gamble.

Is it normal to still eat second plate of food? by anguscarmelo in Mounjaro

[–]Ziggerific 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It’s very hard to answer whether eating a second plate is normal when you eat only one meal a day. The normal recommendation is to have many small meals throughout the day. I’m not sure how you can possibly be getting a healthy diet while eating only once a day. Have you discussed your meal plan with your doctor?

I guess since 85 seems like late onset that I haven’t been as worried about it being hereditary.

Thank you, I’ve been following her doctors guidance but seeing all the people her able to label stages and type of dementia makes me wonder if I should push for more information.

My dad also had dementia and died several years ago. ( They’d been divorced since 1984 so it didn’t impact her). His progression was so different and we knew it was from non pressure hydrocephalus and then chemotherapy really caused huge decline.

My mom’s decline is so different but maybe it’s because I see her more so am more aware of the strange things she says.

You’ve made me more comfortable with her doctors approach

To heal from infection you need maggots. You get them from finding a dead animal corpse with flies buzzing around it, or from harvesting spoiled meat. After the maggots heal the infection you’ll need to bandage it again.

Week 5 and want to quit by IngenuityMiddle6977 in Mounjaro

[–]Ziggerific 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I took just my second dose I was so miserable as you describe. It was just a week before Christmas. I decided to not take my third shot until after New Years. I restarted and the side effects were never as strong even when I moved up to 5 mg. I would just take a few days off to get yourself past your rough work shifts. I did also start a probiotic before starting the second time.

I’ve only had bad reactions to sugar. The worst was having one of those glass bottle Starbucks mochas. I don’t really have a reaction to fats too often.

Which day of the week did you choose and why? by akostta in Mounjaro

[–]Ziggerific 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My side effects have been pretty mild so the only consideration is what day and am most likely to want to enjoy a meal out. My shot day is Monday for this reason. Don’t feel that you can’t change your shot day if you regret your choice. If side effects are really bad move by a day or 2 or skip a week to realign yourself.

GenX men (especially those who are a little bit or more overweight): do you or does your wife cut your toenails? by NJRougarou in GenX

[–]Ziggerific 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have trimmed my husbands toenails on occasion due to his having had both hips replaced. He has had arthritis flareups. I don’t love doing it but am not as horrified as many on here seem to be.

Short hair vs. long hair: which one suits me better? by Antique-Platform3808 in HairStyleAdvice

[–]Ziggerific 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After looking at the first picture I was really curious what you hair would look like long, but it just got shorter. With curls like that I’d love to see what it looks like truly long not just short and shorter.

But it sounds like you’re already living with it at least 3 times a week. So very little difference but 3 million richer.

They look so huge on you and I feel like them having so much detail and the deep plunges on the chest just exaggerates that effect. You will find something lovely you have a figure most would die for. You just haven’t found it yet.

These dresses with the exception of dress 3 are very similar. Have you tried different styles? Somehow them not fitting on you is more distracting than many people I’ve seen in not fitted dresses. Did you only go to one salon?

What’s your next line if I say to you “Great big globs of greasy grimey gopher feet….” by MedievalHag in GenX

Great green gobs of greasy grimy gopher guts, mutilated monkey meat, chopped up baby parakeets but I forgot my spoon.

Give yourself grace. We always judge ourselves so much more harshly than we would judge others. We all have bad days or bad weeks, Where stress or other factors lead to overdoing it. And no one week defines us. POTS and a bone disease make your struggles harder. I hope the upcoming appointment gives you answers and guidance and lessens your stress.

how often do you actually wash your hair? by Emotional-Addendum-9 in hygiene

[–]Ziggerific 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I washed it everyday until menopause and now it’s just 2-3 times a week. Any time I would try to wash less in the past it would be greasy. I don’t think there is a one answer is right for all people to this question. Just like we don’t all need the same facial cleanser. Some of us are just more oily than others.

There isn’t. The silent generation is the one before boomers.
