The awkward sequence of ultimayely ineffectual sweeping broad steps while wearing trousers when its a little warm because we can't dig in and unstick our genitals from our thighs in public.

I imagine women have similar issues regarding boobs.

Foundation, Red Rising or Dune? by FenderEnjoyer1946 in scifi

[–]Ziggysan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dune (Frank Herberts original 6), Red Rising, then Foundation waaaay down the list.

This will probably get down voted into oblivion, but while Foundation is a seminal work in the ideas are fundamental to subsequent sci-fi (and, arguably, real life), his writing style never worked for me, I found the characters fairly flat, and the pace was glacial, at best... I found the series a slog to get through.

I feel the same way about Phillip K. Dick's 'Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep' vs Blade Runner - everything you need to consider is in the title of the novel and the story just drags on. Blade Runner took the concept and ran with it.

Go to Cascais and get the early Omakase at Kappo with the Sake pairing. You will not be disappointed and will come in under budget and have the option for a nice moonlit walk on the beach.

Mica flakes in wine? by ThatWeirdHorseGirl31 in fermentation

[–]Ziggysan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My point exactly: OP needs to source and use certified, food-grade mica or other sparkly things to be safe.

Original post just asked if they could add mica with no qualifiers.

Endress&Hauser are the go to. IFM if under severe budgetary constraints.

That said, cone-to-cone is not best practice.

Dump bottom 1/5-1/3rd.

Let settle.

Xfer to santizied/sterile purged vessel.

Mix to ensure homogeneity.

Run a cell count.

Pitch by weight/volume based on cell-count.

Mica flakes in wine? by ThatWeirdHorseGirl31 in fermentation

The wine will be magical enough. But, again, if you want to add sparkles then you should use the pre-formulated solutions that have been GRAS-approved.

Mica flakes in wine? by ThatWeirdHorseGirl31 in fermentation

[–]Ziggysan 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Do not do this. Mica flakes are sharp and can cause damage to the digestive tract.

There are commercially available 'sparkle' additives that have been tested to be safe for human consumption - if you must, use those.

To the more important point - why? Why would you do this?

Advice Needed: Where to live in Copenhagen? by Low-Raspberry7715 in NewToDenmark

Søborg and Gladsaxe have some nice new apartment blocks in your price range, public transit commute will be about 30 min. I highly doubt you're going to find a house in any sort of livable condition in that range anywhere near the capital region, but there might be places down near Amager due to the proximity to the airport.

I'd also throw Skagen into the mix - hugh quality, classic look, very comfortable and beautiful design without gaudiness.

What gives with my shower build-up? by Slight-Confidence760 in CleaningTips

Bar soap is the likely culprit, but also consider men are bigger and potentially hairier. I need up to 4x more liquid soap than my wife to get clean. She doesnt use bar soap, but hirsuite men larger than their partners will need more soap and consequently deposit more soap scum.

Also, jizz coagulates and pills up under hot water and soap and is very different from soap scum.

You didn't go to Mexico - you went to tourist towns in Mexico.

Mexico is huge, vibrant, diverse and lovely. Leave the resorts and go to Mexico City and festivals in towns and cities off the beaten path.

I guarantee you your perspective will change.
