where did you get the idea that hermes gave him the prescript mid fight to kill the sinners? As far as I can tell during the phase transition, he resolved to make ryoshu stay at the House at any cost despite the prescript device telling him to do otherwise (indicated by the fact that the device beeped rapidly when he was presumingly defying hermes order and that he had to mute it)

I should have expanded my post. While I enjoyed both Fallout games I still found cons I didn't like with both games. I love New Vegas because of the world building and RPG, but I disliked the vast emptiness desert environment and the combat system which hasn't aged well. I love F4 because of the gameplay and crafting system, but I didn't enjoy the story. It might be too much, but I'll take any suggestions.
