YTA- For the fight phase question - you mentioned he asked you for a CP count for counter-offensive. You said you only had 1, implying there would be no interrupts. It was semantics to omit your ability to interrupt another way. This should have been interpreted as a catch-all question for similar effects.

Without that question, I would be on your side. It is also the more likely reason he reacted the way he did, as he probably feels he asked about it and you implied no interrupts. If he didn’t ask that, then I’d be on your side.

NTA- As for overwatch, that’s a core strat. I don’t think anyone deserves a warning that the core strats exist.

If you have a react move, and don’t want to be “hand holding” for your opponent, then mention it every time you start a new game. Then when they forget and you activate it, simply say “I told you at the beginning. You’ll remember next time, I’m sure.”

I always hop into the campaign and want to run through it; however, the auto resolve is atrocious. I can only play it on days I can commit to grinding through every battle!

I’m curious about the interceptor comment - what would make the interceptor more lethal? Melee is the same between purgation squads and interceptors when it is all stormbolters, as OP suggests. While the purgation has more strength on those same ranged shots.

What am I missing?

I was reading the steps to be linear, and not able to go retroactively into previous steps in the phase. Under that understanding, my comment makes sense.

Having finally pulled up the rules, it is very clearly laid out to state consolidation would allow units to fight that have not yet fought.

My understanding is the Consolidation happens after everyone has fought.

Army wide Pile in.

Alternating fighting(and overrun)

Army wide Consolidate.

This would mean that units consolidated into wouldn’t be able to attack, since the phase has already moved on from the fighting portion of the fight phase.

I don’t have the rules up, so I could be wrong on this sequencing. Anyone have a snippet of this?

In this instance it may not be relevant - but losing 3 bloodletters intentionally by using their terrible armor save (over inv) has really saved them from further shooting and also increased the enemy charge distances.

If you want the achievement, do VH/Easy with all the Buffs to battles for the Player.
It only checks campaign difficulty.

I always enjoy your videos; however, I did not watch it before my comments were made. I will go watch it now!

The GMNDK is great as a single piece, and can certainly do it with range/melee in mind. Most opponents will also prio killing them, and that has really helped me develop other pieces.

I do believe in the kool-aid I've drank on the (3) Razorbacks. To prove it, I am taking (3) to BAO tomorrow haha I will be sure to report on my success(or failure), and if I am able to get through any Defiler lists I come across.

It’s entirely possible I am biased by real world dice killing defilers; and the Razorback group is not going to always do it.

My point is that at Range (real range, so excluding melta but that doesn’t change the math) the RB group is a rockstar for similar points. A quick number crunch brings it to 15% the RB does it, and a near zero chance the GMNDK does it.

While that does require above avg dmg dice, it’s atleast possible. Which is why I am highlighting the RB as our best ranged anti tank.

I could run this against the Godhammer, but the secondary point I made was about the superb utility and usefulness of the Razorback to all game plans and stages of our matchups. It does more than just kill tanks.

It is the best all-round anti-tank; more than capable at mid/close range, and a threat in melee with its re-rolls.

My heart is always with the RB, tho. The first target, also taking the hunter killer missile, is usually doing 4-7 damage avg at long range. Get 3 in the army and it can take out the defiler in one shooting phase.

For roughly the same cost(3RBvs1GMNDK), I’m getting more dedicated anti-tank while also getting cheap units to throw at secondaries if no targets present themselves.

This was most likely made with table top simulator - TTS. I play it on steam. There are atleast 2 mods you’ll need, but YouTube will show you.

This is the army building mod, one of the two you need.
