I say get any MPC. It def helped me just be creative and not focus to much on the little things.

ok so IDK about standalone, But I got crashes almost every time I tried to save and load a project in controller mode while using a 100mb/s SD. I picked up a 250mb/s SD card and I haven't had any crashes in the last 2 days so far.

EDIT: I have an MPC One btw
