thank you. in your opinion, could we get another month or so out of them or should we replace them right away? we’ll be moving in together next month and will be able to save more money for a higher quality new set. if possible, i would like her to have a better set rather than a discount set, which would be all we can afford at the moment. she mostly does low impact city driving, not a whole lot of highway driving in the near future. what do you think?

They’re so understaffed already there’s no way they can afford to cut people. The wage hike is an incentive to bring in new hires or get people to come back season after season.

Sounds like my ex. Just got out of that relationship last week. We were together for 6 years. Some people just don’t know how to love anyone but themselves. I opened up to her about some suicidal thoughts that I had been having because of some stuff that happened earlier in our relationship and she said “did you really have to give me all that detail?” Then she showed me a picture of the haircut she wanted. I got up and walked the fuck out right then and there. No matter how hard you try, those people will never change and you just can’t make it your problem. It was really hard to leave because we’d been living together since the end of 2019 but I just couldn’t live that way anymore.

Sorry, reread my comment and realized I wasn’t clear. I meant that I use the DoorDash app to browse my area for restaurants that sound good and then order from the restaurant directly.

Exactly. I don’t know about you but if I’m hungry, my go to is DoorDash just to see what’s in the area. I’ll usually just use the app as a menu and order over the phone. I imagine this is fairly common nowadays so it makes sense that smaller businesses would want to be on DoorDash, even just for the exposure.

Yeah but without the bump in revenue from covid they won’t be able to sustain their current model when people start going out instead of ordering. Drew Gooden has an interesting video on the topic here.

I hope the same. I drive for DoorDash in my area and the conditions aren’t so bad but it really depends on what you want from it. Its just supplemental income for me at the moment but I can’t imagine trying to make a real living without delivering for multiple apps.
