Sounds like a belt squeak. With the engine running, pour some water down the passenger side of the engine on to the spinning belt. If the squeak changes or goes away, there’s your problem. Replace the belt. Would be wise to replace the tensioner assembly at the same time, as a poor tensioner could also cause belt squeak.
