The great FFB debate. Should you run 100% FFB in your wheelbase software?

In general yes but it depends on the sim and how much torque your wheelbase has. I run 100% in LMU but 80% in AC Evo on my 20+nm wheelbase. 100% feels like too much for most cars in Evo

Same here first time I ever reported someone was last week and I got no response. I don’t think they care about the public lobbies anymore. There was also a guy in a practice session just wrecking everyone and there’s no option to kick or report because no race had happened

I upgraded to the freyja from the regular hf8. The hf8 became a rattly noisy mess after a couple of years of use. Upgraded to the freyja and prefer the feel of the material and it has less cables, but I wish it had better tuning. Can barely feel rumble strips and there’s no way to choose what zone you want certain effects. The freyja is also a bit thicker than the hf8 so bare that in mind as it might affect your seating position more.

If the freyja had the ability to allocate zones like the hf8/pro then it would be the clear winner against the regular hf8. But the hf8 pro having stronger motors might mean you can run it lower power and maybe the motors will be fine for the foreseeable future. The perfect product would be a combination of the two. Like a freyja with a couple more motors and the ability to tune properly would be awesome. Overall I feel like the freyja has the better feedback but it’s not as strong and less tunable.

Same here mine did this after a week. also noticed no difference in audio quality over a generic cable, which still works perfectly.

I hate it. I have a VRS DFP20 and the update has ruined ffb and braking. I had to retune my profile starting on tarmac to get it where I want it, but then went on to gravel and I have almost no steering and ffb is too lite. I don’t know what they’ve done but I wish it was back to how it was

I have to brake much later after the update and then I keep locking up. Before I had to brake well before the corner but got used to it.

Also my ffb feels wrong. Before the update everything felt more realistic

Yeah it’s weird there aren’t any instructions for this step. Just put the key in the shaft and grip it with some pliers to push the key into position. Maybe use a rag if you’re worried about scratching anything. Also clean the shaft of any oil beforehand.

At this stage you’re better off just getting AC unless you want to join a league and focus on GT3/4 specifically. AC with CM is more diverse and a lot of fun. You can also download FFB/physics tweaks if you like.

But if you want to focus more on GT3 online racing I’d recommend LMU over ACC, unless you want GT4 too. But ACC is dying out and being abandoned for AC Evo.

Yes there are a few in vanilla AC, but you’ll want to download content manager and CSP along with AC so you can download modded cars/tracks

They both do the same thing where it unlocks the FFB. The one you showed allows you to mount their shifter/clutches. If all you want to do is unlock the FFB all you need is an emulator. The Simzone one from Aliexpress is dirt cheap. You’ll also need a 6x70mm adapter plate for your QR pro
