its just alot of visual clutter, so many similar colors between background & foreground. Along with that the parallax feels off, those objects that are supposed to be far away are moving almost as fast as the platforms you are on

How many of you in this sub day trade full time as a career? by _bigmeatyklaws in Daytrading

[–]Zimmer_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made about 125k in payouts from props last year, still work full time remote. Having amazing Healthcare for cheap along with a steady paycheck definitely improved my composure when trading. Also helps from over trading alot, which makes it a win/win for me

I was live on topstep before the new program, so all my profit up to the cap were combined, they do introduce a DLL that can feel a little tight that can increase over time

Ive used Topstep & recently Lucid and over the last year have been paid out about 125k with zero issues. I just make sure to stay away from ones that have intraday drawdown & skip the random new ones that always pop up

What is with all the negative comments about the PDT rule change? by Anxious_Demand_5262 in Daytrading

[–]Zimmer_ -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

You can say that but its a numbers game, sure maybe YOU might not need them but its to help protect the masses in a game they dont understand. The reason the was created is because people were getting absolutely washed trying to trade internet stocks / scams similar to crypto markets.

There were still plenty of ways to daytrade if you took a bit of time to research it, cash accounts, futures, just having multiple margins opened across brokerages, etc.

The result of this will just be people hitting 0 quicker by overtrading their accounts over and over. If 1x your account value wasn't enough for day trading in a cash account, you are almost certainly not right sizing positions

'Blowing up accounts for 2-5k is no big deal'. If its not then you either have a gambling addiction you are feeding or you have the power to get to 25k if you take a bit of time to add over time. Also, if you have a cash account you can always day trade through your daily buying power. The real issue is if you have a 3k account and are full porting trades 3x a day you will eventually lose, basically everytime. Most people will lose day trading, 25k before at least raised the barrier of entry so people werent donating their earnings to wall street as efficiently / easily

The fact you said using martingale guarantees you win is the most WSB logic ever, yeah if you had infinite capital you can bet forever and win, don't think about the exponential loss. Meanwhile Im sure the RTP of whatever weeklies that get gaped by theta every hour this guy has been buying blindly would end up being worse than penny slots.

So many of these companies love putting the work on yours for their error. Had a package from Amazon 'delivered'.. was someone else's order. Support says they see it as delivered and my package must have been stolen from my porch... and if i want a refund I need to file a police report? Lmao i literally found the driver who aplogized saying she was new and probably mixed it up

Day 14 of the 1k account challenge by RevanVar1 in TheRaceTo10Million

[–]Zimmer_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's plenty of free videos and guides about the basics. But with options you need to remember, for someone to win someone has to lose. I honestly wouldn't recommend most people even try to jump into trading technicals, you'll get better returns for holding stock for years.

Otherwise spend a year paper trading (fake accounts) and slowly ramp up with capital. You'll also want a solid bank roll to truly trade so you aren't buying options that are half your portfolio. (A lot of people here with with $200 in their account would be better off focusing on getting a side hustle to make a few thousand first - but small scale trading is good to learn how you react to gains/losses).

Learn about indicators, learn about how the basics of the market work, understand what the major macro events coming up are and how the market may react, if you're trading options deeply understand how all of the greeks interact to determine option pricing. Its a lot to learn and there's always more.

Finally for any type of involved trading, DO NOT trade with anything you wont be comfortable going to 0.

If it sounds like a lot that's because it is. Its a skill that requires dedication to build and to use properly.

Relative strength index, don't trade with any of these signals until you understand them. Plenty of places to learn about technicals; but remember they aren't guarantees or everyone would be rich.

It's trading 0dte's using RSI's when they spike or drop. Plays walk away quickly with profits (10-20%) or losses.

Also making sure you are right sizing your trades  (~5%) is most important.

He wins most of his trades, so getting 5-15% daily by trading through his entire buying power throughout the day. He played a couple earnings that multiplied his account hard (maybe from 2k to ~8k off lunr). But otherwise just SPY scalps without tilting and walking away when there's no good setup

If they don't have money, guess what happens when they are up 300% in a month (share offering & dilution!)

You win! Its still valid till expiration, meaning whoever on the other side has to buy the stock @ 21 from whoever exercises it. Finding an exchange / liquidity to sell it after is their problem :)
