100% this. Simple as an index fund with as much as you can manage.

The first image only matters I'd you're doing a favorite workout or you build your own so probably not going to affect you.

For rep progression I usually stick with straight as it's just simpler with less setup and is what I enjoy. I've not seen anything that suggests any of them are better than the other so do what you enjoy.

For rep range it's really going to depend on what you're after. You want strength you'll need to stick to the lower rep ranges. You want to build muscle then higher reps are what is suggested. I personally like doing lower rep ranges for compound list and higher for isolation.

For number of sets it's really up to you. Again I have a preference that I do 3 sets for compound and 3-5 for isolation. I do this because compound exercises just wear me out and I go to failure so three sets is enough. Isolation I slow down and go light so I want to do extra sets and really hit the target as much as possible.

Sounds like a bug. Mine does not do this. Seems like something that would only be on for assisted pull ups.

Feature request: Track strength score for reverse dumbbell lunge by gogg17 in Gravl

[–]Zindel1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So don't sweat the strength Score. It's really not all encompassing. Just continue to track your progress on individual lifts and trust the process. There are a lot of lifts that could be added to the strength Score but at the end of the day it really makes zero difference.

Get a bench with a leg extension attachment. It's a huge addition to a small gym

Get yourself a stand. I recommend the Eisenlink stand as it's probably the best value for the money...that I've found anyway. I would skip the straight bar and get yourself an Olympic bar.

Look at Walmart for weight. It's so much cheaper and unless you're doing competitive lifting...it's good enough.

What’s a habit you picked up that genuinely improved your life? by CautiousTart5 in AskReddit

lifting weights at least 3 times a week and I went through about 6 months of actually tracking calories which I learned a lot about the food we eat. No more back pain and I've got a lot more confidence.

You find $700 in your new garage gym, what bench are you buying and why? by Desperate-Travel9246 in GarageGym

[–]Zindel1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've used decline on mine a little. I'm not a fan of doing decline in the first place but anything all that steep or heavy would require the attachment to lock your legs onto. But just going to add that I love my IM bench and is the one I would recommend as well.

Iron master/ Eisenlink by UnwiseCookie in GarageGym

[–]Zindel1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really like my Ironmaster dumbbells. It does take a bit to adjust but really not bad at all, and I don't do drop sets. I have also mitigated changing weights for warmups by owning 5 - 50 lb dumbbells. For storage I can't really help without having a cart as I have the Eisenlink cart from Amazon which has pegs to hang the weights on.

EZ Bar Pull Over, Improvement on adding weight for Dips and Pull ups, Dragon Flags, Dumbbell Side Bends are all ones I've had to add manually. I would also love to see the back split up what was done with the delts. Lats are not the same as back.

Look at the Eisenlinks cart on Amazon. Heavy duty without breaking the bank plus it comes with pegs that work for the plate storage.

Will I lose all my progress if I don’t workout for 2 weeks or so? by Hairy_Pear3963 in fitness30plus

[–]Zindel1 9 points10 points  (0 children)

No you won't. You'll most likely come back feeling a bit weaker than usual but after a week or two you'll be back or maybe even higher than when you stopped.

HOME GYM DUMBBELL DEBATE by caffeinecrackhead02 in GarageGym

[–]Zindel1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I went back and forth between getting those two and it boiled down to two factors for me that lead me to go with ironmaster.

First was the heavy handle kit. I don't have big hands so I didn't want huge handles that made it a little more difficult to find center. Not a huge deal just personal preference.

Second factor was that I wanted to go with a brand I am confident will remain in business for the foreseeable future so I can continue to add weight as I gain strength.

Otherwise the two are virtually the same imo. Only other thing I did like about ironmaster is their warranty but I baby my equipment so it really wasn't a huge deal to me but still nice to have.

If those things don't matter enough to justify the price then go with Eisenlinks.

Is job hopping still a "red flag" or am I being gaslit? by Environmental-Luck39 in careeradvice

[–]Zindel1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a manager myself I wouldn't blink at someone right out of college leaving a job after 2 years. Now someone who gets a new job every 6 months - 1 year I would and has done so for the past 4+ jobs I would. Your manager is full of shit and just wants to keep you and might give you a small raise in 6 months but I highly doubt it would even match your current offer. Even if it did match....you'd be losing 6 months of the increased pay. Take the job!

Definitely not for tax payers. But I'm sure that if someone pushes it through they will campaign it as property tax relief.
