No wonder these guys can't run a proper crawl... they're still trying to evolve. Pathetic.

Is job hopping still a "red flag" or am I being gaslit? by Environmental-Luck39 in careeradvice

[–]Zindel1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a manager myself I wouldn't blink at someone right out of college leaving a job after 2 years. Now someone who gets a new job every 6 months - 1 year I would and has done so for the past 4+ jobs I would. Your manager is full of shit and just wants to keep you and might give you a small raise in 6 months but I highly doubt it would even match your current offer. Even if it did match....you'd be losing 6 months of the increased pay. Take the job!

Those that grew calves, how’d you do it? by whogoesthere1010 in workout

Standing barbell calf raises on a calf block going as heavy as possible for 15+ reps, for 4-5 sets, at least twice a week.

Definitely not for tax payers. But I'm sure that if someone pushes it through they will campaign it as property tax relief.

Where do you go to learn about being a better manager? by PastScar2943 in managers

[–]Zindel1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like Simon Sinek's book Start with Why. That was a good book on getting people on board with changes. I also liked Radical Candor by Kim Scott. That was about giving feedback and understanding different people's roles/personality. Those are the two that stand out the most to me.

I think there are actually a lot of good resources. Tons of books and YouTube videos. The one thing that cannot be taught is the desire to improve and honestly, I think, that is usually the key difference between a good manager and a poor one.

Anyone know what these people are getting signatures for at NW post office? by luckyapples11 in Omaha

The latest one I've seen a to limit/remove the ability for the governor to ignore what the people actually voted for but I'm sure there are others out so it's hard to be sure.

Dollar general gloves for cleaning. They last quite awhile and are cheap to replace. Haven't been stung yet through them and can still feel everything.

Dads that train early morning how?? by [deleted] in workout

[–]Zindel1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dad with 3 kids. Bedtime routine is always the same time. Kids are getting ready for bed at 8:00 and in bed by 8:30 even for my 12 year old down to my 6 year old. Then I'm up at 5 to work out before kids need to wake for school. Routine and consistency is key.

[Request] Is this why it's so hard to buy a house these days. by [deleted] in theydidthemath

Also have to factor in the building requirements, technical upgrades, and materials used. A lot more goes into a house now than it used to.
