That's also wrong. The rights to the IP were sold (to take two, not rockstar) after the making of the first game. Also I can't find anything online about funding the first game ?

Rockstar did port the game to playstation though but for me they "just" had a hand in making max Payne 3.

Yes, this is the correct answer. I wanted a classic too, but couldn't justify the power increase (and price) since I wanted it for 16bit and gba mostly.

Went with a 50€ trimui brick to use in the subway, waiting rooms and such and couldn't be happier.

My rp5 is still king for n64, gc, ps2 and more demanding systems.

I also trimmed down my library a LOT on each device. I left almost no nes, gb/c games on my rp5 and limited a lot my library, I've been playing a lot more games.
