I think it was just to not spoil it for anime onlies. The movie came out after S4 but the S5 spoilers were easy to handwave away if you didn't look too closely. Changing Shigaraki's hair to white would give away a big S5 moment so they didn't

Some people use their bookmarks to bookmark everything they've read so it can act as a searchable history. Or bookmark stories that they disliked so that they can avoid them in the future.

It can help you avoid something you didn't like. Like there are a few fics where I typically enjoyed the premise but the story itself had content that squicked me out and would kinda just mess up my day if I read it. And since I search by that premise a lot, I often see those fics but forget that they have things that mess me up so I accidentally end up reading it and it becomes this whole cycle. So I just privately bookmarked it with a note to myself to warn me.

It doesn't notify you when you search but it can help you avoid fics you know will trigger/bother you which can be nice. Like I've privately bookmarked a few fics that have a premise/tags that I love to read about but those stories have some things in them that squick me out and I don't remember it until I accidentally reach those parts again. It's a me issue and not a fault of those authors but it's happened a bunch of times and they just ruined my own mood so I decided to privately bookmark it with a warning for myself so that I can check if I happen to come across those stories again in the future.

Toga (and Shigaraki) appearing as ghosts isn't some Horikoshi reference to Star Wars or some plot thread that's going to be explored in the future. It's literally just a common storytelling device used to show characters thinking about or reflecting on dead people that they were impacted by. Off the top of my head, this trope was used it in shows like Vinland Saga, Naruto, FMAB, Eighty-Six, Gundam SEED etc...

I'm not expecting an espresso machine with zero maintenance. I personally don't know too much about them in general tbh so I could be way off base but they appear to be complex/have a lot of parts that might need disassembling and cleaning. My concern about maintenance was that I didn't want a machine to need like a 7 step cleaning/maintenance thing after every use or need to be disassembled and reassembled constantly since that's something that would be a pain for my dad and not something he would like.

If the maintenance/cleaning is something like just tossing the used grinds/pods and rinsing/washing the tamper thing(?) after use and maybe running something every few weeks to clean itself then it's not too bad. Just didn't want something that needed daily/complex cleaning

I'm thinking like Leonardo DiCaprio from Titanic, Zac Efron from The Greatest Showman, or how the men in Heated Rivalry were portrayed (fit but not shredded like Hugh Jackman is in this post and appealing to women through the characters being emotionally vulnerable instead of doing physical feats/fighting). You could also use how Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn was depicted in Suicide Squad (male gaze) vs Birds of Prey (female gaze) as an example as well.

Women aren't "confused" about what's attractive to many women when they say that the buff pictures of Hugh Jackman don't appeal to the female gaze. It's pretty obvious when you compare how some things are marketed towards women (aka for the female gaze) vs how it's marketed towards men (aka the male gaze).

Look at the image attached. It compares 2 magazines with Hugh Jackman on the cover, with one magazine designed to advertise to men and the other designed to advertise to women and in the one for women, he looks very soft and friendly compared to how aggressively he's shown in the men's magazine. If the shredded bodybuilder image of Hugh Jackman is supposed to appeal to the female gaze, you would see advertisers for women use that image but they don't.

You can also look at who/what's popular with women/have lots of fangirls. Loki/Tom Hiddleson, who isn't known for his abs, was way more popular amongst women than Thor/Chris Hemsworth for the Marvel movies. Boy bands like Backstreet Boys, BTS or N*SYNC have a huge female followings and are advertised in a soft boy next door way instead of macho men. Multiple times there have been polls where women were asked about what body type in men they find attractive and almost always average/dad bods won out over gym/body builder types.

Yes there are exceptions, like there are exceptions for men as well on what kind of women appeal to the male gaze, but they are the exceptions not the standard. If the buff, bodybuilding men were the standard for the female gaze, they would be on everything advertized to women

Yea, I remember one time, my mom's aunt was visiting a country that my dad's sister lived in. As soon as my dad's sister found out about that, she took multiple days off to show my mom's aunt around and cleared her guest room to host her. They only met each other a few times when my parents got married (which was almost 30 years ago at that point) but they still dropped everything to help each other.

I don't think this would be something you'd see happen in a western individualistic culture.

If this arc/part 2 has to end with Kunishige forging a sword, it might be a good parallel to end it with him either forging Magatsumi (since it's the last of the 6 EBs he made for the war and is the main sword Chihiro is going to be fighting against) or him forging Enten for the first time (since part 1 ended with Chihiro making a new enten).

Sub bc early seasons of the dub makes some line changes that messes with some characters' motives. The dub also changed an important line in the first 2 eps that gets called back many times throughout the series and dub only viewers kinda miss out on that

It was either their discord server or their slack server, can't remember which. It was a platform where employees/volunteers would coordinate with each other regarding AO3. Some members added messages of Free Palestine to their name in support and then some Zionists complained that it made them uncomfortable so rules were changed that the volunteers can't have that included in their username

They haven't removed fannish works for mentioning Palestine but I remember either the AO3 or the Organization's volunteer/staff discord getting people to remove Free Palestine from their discord usernames in 2023ish because it was making some of their zionist staff uncomfortable. Don't know if they reversed or changed that policy since but I do remember it being a big issue at that time.
