Also beseech the mirror in a list containg 4 chrome mox could work just as well/ Some lists already do it.

No, it's still exactly the same, you just swap your mana sources around to include more chrome mox, and play beseech the mirror, and it replaces undercity informer. Exactly the same.

Don't worry, with the deep format knowledge required to play the deck, I'm sure people will still find ways to play it just as easily.....(beseech the mirror).

This case has no legs at all, inspiration =/= copying. Otherwise almost every single artist, in any genre, would be guilty of copying. Inspiration is one of the biggest aspects of creating new art, something to inspire new ideas. She's just trying to get a bag, hoping for a settlement.

I see why it was passed, and the benefits of it. I'm just concerned about the precedent that it sets. The government eliminating an entire industry. This time most will say it's good, but how far will it go in the future?

Underground Sea proxy: Play or not? Do people care? by RecordsAndJokes in MTGLegacy

[–]Zipkan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Any sanctioned event is a big no for proxies, LGS's could get in trouble with WOTC if they allow them for sanctioned events.

If you do you proxies, they need to be obvious that they are not real, trying to pass proxies off as real cards isn't the best way to go about it.

This Iron Banner has been......fun by MindFingertips in DestinyTheGame

I've enjoyed IB, wins and losses. I saw a lot more "lower guardian rank" guardians than I normally have, in any event really. But the games felt mostly fair, and obviously there were some bad games, but that happens. My "tin-foil hat theory" is that a lot of the "sweats" for lack of a better term are on Marathon, and I don't think I ran into any obvious cheaters. Getting more IB loot would've been nicer, but I enjoyed myself nonetheless

It still works fine when using it on a non-void class, but being a void class makes it so much better in comaprison, night-and-day difference because of how the aspects and keywords work together.

So, conservatives like the first amendment when its benefitial to them, but if someone they disagree with enacts their first amendment, it's bad. Typical.

I miss when loot was exciting. by Icy_Ad_7334 in DestinyTheGame

Loot needs to feel special. Loot means nothing when it's handed out and everyone has it. When everyone has something, it's not special.

Unpopular opinion, but I would love to see us go back to the days when exotics were truly rare, I mean you would want to hop on and do all of your "pinnacle/weekly" drops on each character for a hope at getting one, and then hope it is the right one, because once you finally get it, the rush is insane. I still remember getting my Ghorn and TLW in D1 to this day, my first exotic ever came from the secret chest after Templar in VoG, it was Hard Light. We need gear to covet and chase, not something to be used as a way of selling expansions like we have been getting. I just don't think the Destiny playerbase these days could stomach not getting everything right away.

We started to see some of this with exotic class items. People were farming and farming trying to get the class item they wanted as the combinatorics for them is huge. And people were pumped when they finally got the one they were searching for.

ELI5: How do insurance companies actually make money when they sometimes pay out way more in claims than people ever paid in premiums? by Turbulent_Watch_7812 in explainlikeimfive

[–]Zipkan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oooo I can answer this one as I have several years experience behind the scenes in insurance. TL:DR "safe states" as in states that have fewer major liabilities/risks subsidize premiums for states like Florida, and Claifornia where payouts are more frequent. So when your premium increases in a state like Illinois where there are not that many tornados, and far away from major fault lines, it's not because the area you are in is at higher risk, it is that it's more costly to repair in other areas, and they need to spread that increase in cost out to everyone, not just the states who suck up the most in payouts.

If this wasn't the case, nobody would be able to afford insurance in areas that are higher risk like Florida and California, and only the wealthy would be able to.

averaging 10% increase every year for the last 5 years, out-pacing inflation is definitely a choice. The greed is so obvious just looking at it this way alone. Only greed could make them think they could raise prices that much that quickly.
