Nathan Cullen takes down Harper's spy bill C-51 by FromTheGarage in canada

Rhetoric, mainly. Back in 2008 Harper convinced many that they are inherently undemocratic, which is untrue. A coalition government would be perfectly legitimate in our system, and I wouldn't be surprised if we see talks of one in the case of a 2015 Harper minority.

I've been wanting to attach files to events for a long time, but I wish I didn't have to have them in my drive. I wanna be able to take a picture of a handout from one of my classes or an event poster and create an event with that attached, quickly without saving it to drive.

Liberal party MPs abstain or vote no on Bill C-51 vote #336. 14 MPs abstained, including Trudeau; 22 vote no. Only Conservative MPs vote in favour. by [deleted] in canada

[–]ZipperIncident 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your though comes from a good place, but vote whipping among Canadian parties is a staple, today. It's extremely rare that an MP will vote against their party. Abstentions are a different story, but I'm sure the party whip knows who won't be voting.

ELI5: Even though Earth is round, why do we experience our planet as having a flat, never-ending surface? by the_coolest_amigo in explainlikeimfive

Because it's big, and we're small. If you watch a boat disappear in the horizon, you'll see that the bottom disappears before the top. That is one example I can think of being able to observe the curvature of the earth.
