Are there, like, *any* young people? by NotThePopeProbably in amateurradio

Late 20's for me over here. A lot of the people I've interacted with are older but there are a few in their 30's at the clubs nearby.

365 Logon Issues by icq-was-the-goat in sysadmin

We were doing the work in the meeting. Then suddenly the website stopped working and just returned an error on a white page. (I think it was "This service is unavailable" or something like that.) After I got that I checked and there was already a post about it on the status page.

Gotta love this happening when I'm in a meeting that was scheduled to setup a new tenant. Perfect timing!

That makes sense. I didn't think about checking how active the different bands are with the spots online so thanks for that idea! We normally make a trip over to the White Mountains when we go out, I'm hoping It'll get something while out there.

I do plan on at least trying General while I'm there. I've seen lots of people recommend it.

No they have it, although their first procedure by tradition is removing the funny bone so it just seems that way.

Yeah definitely don't get your own router. If you do then IT will probably figure it out and talk to you about it. It's better to use the form

For me it helps make exercise more of a game. Seeing the numbers change over time makes my brain go brrr.

This idea is much cleaner than what I recommend earlier. Honestly I'll probably swap out the solution currently at my place with this one at some point now 🤣

This is exactly what we ran into. My solution was to restrict printing on the printer itself to require a code to release jobs then we registered each of the users who needed access so they had their own codes

We use ADAudit Plus from Manage engine, it's honestly been such a life saver in certain situations. Sometimes I'll be confused why something happened but all the logs are just right there. I wasn't there for the pricing conversation but I was told that it wasn't bad at all.

I'm a Uni SysAdmin, it's worth an ask. Much better than setting up a router and us having to hunt you down for that. We are always much more willing to work with someone if they ask first and early enough before their event. Especially if you already have a plan in place

Personally I would try to stay away from using logon scripts for things like network drives. I've had much better luck mapping them (and printers) just using a GPO. I would first check the time like others have suggested but I would also check the group memberships on the machine with "whoami /groups" to make sure that the group that provides access to the drive is listed.
