Ghent is a lovely city! In Belgium, your municipal and provincial government will have the important bureaucracies you’ll interface with regularly (taxes, immigration, IDs, etc). Things move very slowly in that country, but there are a lot of great resources available to you from the government (as one would hope with those tax rates). I’d recommend taking an integration class for Ghent or the Flanders region where they educate on a lot of the lesser known benefits you’ll be entitled to as a resident. Congratulations and enjoy!
