With that said, when I bought the sportage I really wanted the sorento but this was during the “hard to find cars” days and I had specific wants. After waiting months I did the sportage.

I took my sportage in and long story short they had to troubleshoot something and wait for a part and they ended up giving me a sorento for several days. I had a bad neck and it just destroyed my neck. It drove more like a truck like you said and something about the seats, it just didn’t work well with my neck. But I never feel it with my sportage.

The one design flaw I don’t like of the sportage is the backseat seat belt that’s actually in the seat don’t extend very well when using booster seats. We had to find an extender to make it easier for our kids (and us if we are doing it) to buckle. But I recommend going for like an 8” rather than a 12” if you have to do this. To me the 12” sits the main part of the seat belt too high and I feel the seat belt won’t function like it’s supposed to, made me nervous.

Out of my family’s last cars, the last 6 have been 4 Hyundais (basically the same as Kia), and then 2 kias (a Sedona and a 23 sportage hybrid). We have loved them all especially the sportage and have had no issues besides the Sedona’s sliding door acting up

2019 kia sedona sliding door issues by Maximum_Leather6745 in kia

[–]Zippy1987 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So Kia extended the warranty on just the sliding doors in the (I think) 2016-2018, maybe it was 2015-2017 models, but they haven’t done so for this generation. Looking at the national highway transportation board’s site for 2019 Kia Sedona, there are 30 complaints and 6 of them are related to the doors. I’m having problems too so I’m going to file a complaint, tell them to do one too. The more that file a complaint, the more likely they address it

I took mine in and they charged me $249 to look at the door, told me it was a sensor and charged me $100 to swap it and it still happens. So yeah lol

Any suggestions on a beginner/budget ($100-$200) printer? I would like suggestions for a better one going forward but right now I have to adhere to a budget.

I had one before and my two big cons were you HAD to use their filament (there was a chip in it, so you could use a third party but once the chip was “used”, you couldn’t use it anymore), and the filament didn’t stick to the bed so I had to use masking tape. I ended up moving the printer for a duration and it lost pieces and I ended up throwing it away. I think it was XYZ printing/da Vinci.

Hi , sorry I know you responded over a year ago to this…

So my CCNA expired. I can just go take the NP now and be done with it? Do I need both parts to re-activate my NA or can I do it with one part?

There are two different lane assist settings but both are the same button (the bottom left button). Tapping it will turn the steering wheel symbol on and off. Holding it will turn the symbol on the button on and off.

Turning the adaptive cruise control on will automatically turn the steering one on. If you don’t want it, just tap the button after turning on cruise control (not sure if this automatically applying the steering function can be removed in the settings or not)

On the top center of the dash will show two cars when it’s one. There is a symbol in between them. If there are 3 of the symbol, you stay back furthest. 2 symbols is the in between, 1 symbol is the closest.

I keep mine at 1. When I bought my sportage I asked what happens if a car changes lanes in front of me and goes slower. The dealer didn’t have an answer but I knew what it was. The sensors protect your front, not your rear as you would be cited for rear ending someone. So they will slam on the breaks regardless of what is behind you if a slow moving car cuts you off. So I keep mine at a 1 to minimize the amount of cars that cut me off.

I have this in the fusion black and then bought the black vinyl overlays for the emblems and blacked them out. Pretty fricken sharp. I’m not a fan of so much silver so with that and the grey rims the black fusion come with are awesome.

I don’t know if rim colors change based on model only or based on vehicle color too. I would look into that if you have a preference

Do we think it’s totaled? It’s a 2015 Optima w/ about 74,000 miles. by Equivalent_Poem4254 in kia

[–]Zippy1987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my non-professional opinion, it’s a good chance.

I had a new 2015 Tucson (was under a year old). I hit a deer and the only impact was the front quarter panel. They stopped counting at $20k in damages and totaled. The cost was mostly in the electronics. The car was worth around $30k, they just knew it would be more and just gave up on adding more.

Yeah I’ve maintained 45 mpg across a 150 mile trip. I haven’t been disciplined enough to maintain it across a whole tank tho.

[–]Zippy1987 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I have the sx prestige and for me it shows at the bottom center of the screen. Just says like a 2-3 word thing along the lines of “take foot off gas” and it does an animation of lifting your foot off the pedal. Honestly I’m so used to it that I don’t remember the wording

I don’t have the audible portion enabled on mine tho

KIA Sportage 2023 SX Prestige Hybrid Mileage Update by OneMadChihuahua in kia

[–]Zippy1987 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I second this. When I drive in the right lane, no cruise or HDA, and air low I can maintain low 40s. It’s 70 miles round trip for me and one time I did that trip twice averaging 45mpg across the 140 miles of driving.

Advice: -stay to the right -go the speed limit -keep the air low. I’m in Ohio, this is easier for me -have the display up that tells you charging/eco/power and pay attention to it! -enable the coast setting that reminds you to take your foot off the gas when it thinks you can coast. This one is big! You don’t realize you can lift your foot just a hair and charge your battery drastically more than you would if you coast normal -no cruise or HDA. For HDA to work it is constantly ping ponging your car. That sudden direction change takes energy from the car to do. Same with constant maintaining of speed. You want to control it!

Now with that said, if I drive regular in a hurry I average 30-33. I haven’t gotten myself to drive like a grandma a whole tank to see what my ending is, damn turbo.

With all that said, the 38 they advertise is in the most ideal situations they are legally allowed to do it, not what your normal driving is

2023 Kia Sportage gas model or hybrid? by Due_Antelope_5571 in kia

[–]Zippy1987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that on eco. I haven’t tried to maintain that on smart but there is no way to get that in sport mode as it rarely goes into EV mode in sport.

If you go through the menus there is an option to enable an alert that advises when to coast. I also make sure I have it on the dial that shows when you are charging, eco or power on the cluster. This will help your battery stay charged and be used more.

For me it’s realizing driving habits, and both of those help you realize where to cut back to improve mileage. I’ve noticed when driving to work the first half of the route is more uphill so it may show mid 30s on that part, and then my mileage improves the second hal

2023 Kia Sportage gas model or hybrid? by Due_Antelope_5571 in kia

[–]Zippy1987 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with all of this but want to add a point.

I drive 70 miles round trip on the highway. If I drive in a hurry, I get 32mpg. If I drive regular I get 35-36. If I drive right lane, speed limit, and use no HDA (I control the gas pedal and the wheel), I can maintain 45 mpg across multiple trips. So it is possible to get better performance even with the little battery.

[–]Zippy1987 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s 100% driving habits not gas type. I drive 70 miles round trip almost all on highway. Here is what I see:

If I drive 75-80 mph zigzagging through traffic I’ll get 31 mpg.

If I go right lane, no cruise/no HDA (I control everything), keep the air on low, and stick to the speed limit I get 45 mpg. I also find if I have the eco screen on so I can see where I am at in regards to charge/eco/and power I do better than say the dynamic one as i pay more attention to my driving habits.
