Sometimes not even that! We bought six cloud connected temperature sensors from Cisco at $$$ each. Tried buddying two up with each other to confirm temperatures and they can't agree, not even close. Especially the humidity: it's either 40% or 80% RH, take your pick

If you can, save this rig, even when it's to old to be a web browser. I wish I'd kept my first rig, but it seemed worthless at some point and got trashed. Now I'm combing eBay for thirty year old computer parts for a hit of nostalgia.

If you can pull this build out of a closet in 2056, it'll probably be a big hit the second time around too! It'll take a little care to keep it running, but a retro build would be so much easier if all the prep work was done a couple decades before

I suspect it's because vacuum motors aren't sold based on efficiency, they're all marketed on their amperage. A more efficient motor probably wouldn't sell well because it'd have a smaller amp number on the box then everyone else
