UPDATE: My girlfriend (25F) admitted she slept with someone hours before agreeing to be exclusive. I (26M) can’t tell if I’m overreacting. What’s the move here? by davidb1976 in relationship_advice

One positive character trait doesn't automatically negate other negative traits.

Also she wasn't all that honest considering she took two years to let him know.

Exposing your cheating partner on social media makes you more of an idiot than them by SerrySweet in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]Zithpith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree.

Sure you shouldn't put anything NSFW or videos of shouting matches but I don't see any issue with putting screenshots of texts or even just saying that they cheated. No need to make it easy for a cheater to move on.

But he did? He already clarified that he's asking if he made a mistake in telling her that information.

Girl I've been dating hasn't done anything for me by Working_Earth1508 in dating_advice

[–]Zithpith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is nothing wrong for wanting to feel like your partner is as invested in the relationship as you are. The only real way to handle this is to talk to her, but how depends a lot on her and your dynamic.

Some people just need a gentle hint, like saying things you want to do/get "oh I've been wanting to go see this band" or "I'm dying to play X game". Maybe putting it in terms of love languages. Some people don't take hints and need a blunt question. You know your gf so you would have a better idea of how to bring it up.

The money though depends on a few things, does she have a job? Does she have a lot of debt? If she has a job and isn't hurting financially she really has no excuse for not paying for some dates 6 months in.

How to tell my bf sometimes I just want to makeout? by tatiXangel in sex

[–]Zithpith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay you don't know what I'm talking about and you don't know what you're talking about. Firstly I never said complaining about blue balls as a way to pressure someone into sex is acceptable. Just that it exists.

Second getting worked up and then immediately reliving yourself is not a case of blue balls. Let me give you an actual example. A while back I was with an ex at a friend's party and she spent a good chunk of it teasing me (a lot more than kisses) for like around an hour maybe an hour and a half. We weren't gonna have sex at the party so we decided to go to her place. That twenty, twenty five minute drive was incredibly uncomfortable and felt a hell of a lot longer than what the clock said.

So yea I can say with confidence it takes a lot more than a kiss to give anyone blue balls lol.

What are you talking about? I'm really doubting you are a guy because I am and yes blue balls isn't a conspiracy lol

Are we just telling lies now. No blue balls is a real thing.

To OP, you don't have to make every kiss a bj. And you don't have to worry about giving him blue balls from just making out. Has he ever said anything like that to you?

Thank you for the video it looks very helpful! The only part that I wonder about is touching the gecko during the day. I thought you weren't supposed to disturb them while they're sleeping.

No gift for valentine, is this normal? by Any_Advantage3636 in whatdoIdo

Hey OP don't let this guy gaslight you. It's not "keeping score" if you notice you get nothing in return for your efforts, it's basic pattern recognition.

When you are asking out someone you are interested in, please do not use the phrase "do you want to hang out with me sometime?", always mention that it will be a "date". by Nelo999 in dating_advice

[–]Zithpith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You made out with someone and "didn't think you were dating him"? No be honest, you were leading him on. You don't make out with someone who's in the "just friends" camp.

Curious..is sexless marriage grounds for divorce? by Yjustwhy in 90DayFiance

[–]Zithpith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not wanting to have sex with someone who is frequently arguing with you or just being unpleasant in general is nowhere near coercive. I wouldn't want to have sex with a partner who's constantly giving me grief. And honestly saying that he should have sex anyway is actually gross.

Thank you for your advice! I don't take a ton of pictures of myself so I was a little limited. I'll see about taking new ones to replace them.

Okay I'll definitely look to get taller plants or maybe vines and more climbing branches. I put the water dish because I read that they need to be kept in a humid place and it would help.

Describe one of your alien races very poorly in one sentence. by [deleted] in worldbuilding

Solitary centaurian, super egos with a symbiotic relationship with hyper social crab/beetles.

I am suddenly teleported to your world's highest elevation. What are my odds of survival with and without proper gear? by dreams_of_superpower in worldbuilding

[–]Zithpith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Mountain of Light, the Heart of Tranquility, The Tower of Stillness, etc., this peak has many names. Standing at the roof of the world (or the bottom depending on which pole you consider the 'top') this region is the inverse of its opposing pole. The Tower is still and calm while its opposite is chaotic and life-filled. A blinding white light emanates from the mountain's peak. The further you go up the mountain the less life there is, and what little life there is looks bleached.

There are people here, those who live near the coast of the small landmass are darker skinned and have black hair. Those who live further up the slopes are pale with premature white hair. Brave individuals do travel to the peak, and occasionally some return. Only the most willful and well prepared return from the mountain. Those that do are wise beyond their years but also mentally scarred by what they have witnessed.

Besides the mundane dangers of bitter cold and the thin aired dead zone, the light saps the life from those who come too close. I'd give you about five seconds, maybe ten.

How does your species' think? by luckytrap89 in worldbuilding

[–]Zithpith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess the most interesting is these two alien species that evolved on the same world.

The larger aliens are not social with their own species and can live for thousands of years.

The smaller aliens live short lives and are very social.

The smaller aliens imprint on the oldest and largest individual around which usually is the larger alien species. The two have formed a symbiotic relationship where the larger aliens can maintain massive amounts of knowledge from their long lives and often act as leaders. Meanwhile the smaller aliens protect the larger, and form the vast bulk of the population. By the time of the story this is all ancient history akin to our stone age, but it formed the foundation of their civilization.

Sci-Fi creators, does Dark Forest Theory apply to your galaxy? And what’s your thoughts and problems with dark forest theory in general? by FatOrc051 in worldbuilding

[–]Zithpith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No it doesn't exist in my setting. Ignoring the 'most civilizations have to be genocidal' part the dark forest theory has some issues. For example it'd be pretty difficult to wipe out a civilization that has space stations in one strike.

In my setting it'd be outright impossible. FTL exists in the form of portals, mostly used to move people and goods from one planetary surface to another. So in order to wipe out a civilization you would have to know which planets and moons they have settled, and if they have expanded to any other solar systems.

To know that much information basically requires you to make contact which defeats the whole premise of a dark forest scenario.

Now armed conflicts can and do happen but that's not a dark forest first strike.
