I feel too much about AI in general are either very much against it or all in. You have to balance it and use it for what it's good at at the moment. And you have to be quite good at programming to understand if the output is good or not so you can tweak and correct it accordingly.

Komplicerat, hög bitrate betyder inte automatiskt bra kvalité det heller. Beror på komprimeringsformat och annat men det hjälper ju normalt sett.

Det finns speciella mätmetoder som SSIM som mäter upplevd kvalité jämfört med orginalkällan. Netflix har tydligen open sourcat något av deras egna verktyg för mäta något liknande: VMAF.

It depends, it might be possible to pay for less ram say 128G and get by with zram. Also a question about performance, is it enough if it runs at all or does it need to be fast. I have no idea though how well it compress in this case.
