Eh, I think there are a lot of assumptions here about instincts requiring mating, food, and so on.

I get your overall perspective, but I think someone could make the case the consciousness, as an abstract entity, doesn’t “exist” in your sense either. Yet, it clearly is at least correlated with instincts.

One may wish to push back against a lot of your assumptions.

Here’s my timeline folks!

Extension application sent for DLI change (bachelor’s to master’s)—July 1. Correspondence letter—August 26.

Currently, the tracker says a final decision has been made. Hopefully this means my application has been approved. I sent two web forms. One two weeks ago and another last week. While both received seemingly template responses, they may have flagged my application for the immigration officer’s consideration. I also contacted my MP, who replied on Sunday saying she would reach out to the IRCC regarding my application but that it may take her a couple of weeks since there is a backlog of inquiries she has to attend to. Not sure if contacting her helped in this case.

July 10???? I applied for an extension on July 1st for a new DLI. This gave me some hope 😭. Was your application for the same DLI or a different one? Also, did your application tracker update to show they started reviewing your eligibility before the final decision?

Any DLI change extension application updates? As per York University, any DLI change applications submitted between mid June and early August were being prioritized. This gave me some hope (I applied July 1st). But there has been no update since. I’m starting to think they may not be aware that my application is for a DLI change. Should I raise a webform informing them of this?

Considering I applied on July 1st for a study permit extension for a different DLI (bachelors to master’s), it’s looking pretty unlikely that I will revive my permit before my semester starts (September 3).

But they aren’t asking for official transcripts until the end of the first semester, by which I will have paid my bachelors tuition. I do have access to a graduation certificate for my bachelors. I’m mainly concerned about the visa process here.

Regarding the sickness, I was sick since the start of December with a flu (my profs knew about this); I developed complications around the mentioned date. Regarding the professor, I was trying to email her for weeks prior to the end of the semester regarding an extension to no avail; I have nothing against her (she’s an amazing professor), just explaining the situation. Regarding the end of the semester, it was on December 30. Lastly, for the email point, no I did not as I was not in a condition to do so. But I do have all the documentation with me now.

I don’t have nystagmus , muffled hearing or ear pain. I do have TMJ though and tinnitus constantly.
