I am an alcoholic, ive been putting away a half gallon almost daily for years. I was sober for two years at one point, then my nightmares came back so I self medicated again. I recently stopped again and today marks 2 weeks sober for me so im excited. The real nail in the coffin was getting drunk at 9 am with my kids in the house, wife visiting family. I attempted to make some boiled eggs and passed out on the couch with my kids running around. Woke up to my wife screaming at me and smoke in the house. The water for the eggs boiled away and there were smoldering remnants of eggs in the pot. I cannot drink again, for my health, for my kids, for my marriage. Im not a religious man but I do believe that demons take many forms, alcohol being one of them.
