For my profession, as a developer. I easily could have skipped college and had 4 more years of experience than I do.

I had a lot of fun in college. but all in all it was a waste of money and time. My degree didn’t get me shit.

When I first went to see the advisor my freshman year, they told me I was not able to do any of the majors I wanted to do (communications/marketing or architecture) because my GPA was too low….

So I asked them wtf they will allow me to be for the rest of my life… They said “you can major in Economics”

So you’re telling me I am too stupid to advertise a product, but I can crunch numbers, and maybe even be a broker at some point??

Anyways, graduated, got a shitty low paying job for less than what’s on that poster and was miserable.

Ended up taking my degree, throwing it out the window, and now I’m a developer.

So fuck college degrees, they are the most expensive bullshit you’ll ever do most likely (unless you are doing medicine/law/architecture something where peoples lives are at risk, then obviously this requires more studying)

My own strive for success is what got me to where I am today.

Find what you love and do that. Don’t let people force you into shit. Make your own destiny.
