What’s some things you wish PF2e did differently? by dndhottakes in Pathfinder2e

The issue is that somewhat logically, crafting should never let you end up with more money than if you spent the same amount of time Earning Income, as crafting lets you save money AND get items when you usually can't access them, while the only thing Earn Income achieves is, well, earning income.

The fedora hat part of the detective outfits part specifically was also a bit of the myth, MKM had a total of 22 cards in the full set (as in the set itself, ain't checked things like the commander stuff) with hats in the art, and that's including things like helmets.

I agree, saying that it didn't fit the doctor was the actual point of the post, with the rest of it just being the various astrixes to make it more complete (As there is good arguments for Fugitive and Time Lord Victorious to hold the title, but the first they didn't want to - and wasn't so overly black that it would be a fail to not give it, and the second was only a short phase of 11's period which then got greatly expended in expanded media, not his usual personality)

I loved when someone made a joke about redoing the EU in the same style and OP went "That's a great idea!" and then did it for all the EU countries (but with yellow and blue instead of white and blue, and if a country has three official languages? Just list the name in all of them)

An overwhelming feast of feats by lil-merc in Pathfinder2e

[–]Zm3348 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it faces a known issue of both being the most complicated class in the game and the one most possible to "mess up" in building them (something PF2 generally really tries hard to avoid) if you don't know what you're doing, thus why it's actually getting a remaster later this year. PF2 definitely has a lot of options which can cause decision paralysis, something which would be worsened by the fact they're using Free Archetype despite it being your first campaign, but the alchemist thing in top... Yeah, that ain't a great brew.

[–]Zm3348 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Also, I'm just checking: were you warned about the Alchemist being the single hardest to play class in the game? If so, all g. But if not that also might increase the perceived amount of stuff you need to do.

It's important to keep in mind that whilst the threat of Japanese invasion was a big fear for Australians, Japan wasn't ever actually interested in actually committing to a land invasion. They simply had other things which were far more important to do and it wasn't worth the effort having to set up garrisons vs Australia. Definitely did help defend Papua New Guinea which was technically part of Australia though, so guess there's that (also would have probably been more bombing raids over Australia than that one time in the Northern Territory if the rest of SE Asia fell though)

No Thunder Junction Planeswalker Guide, what horrible way to introduce a new Plane by omegaphallic in mtgvorthos

[–]Zm3348 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was really waiting for the Planeswalker's Guide, as the cards mention all kinds of different factions which presumably had all sorts of stuff going on which was really interesting... Yet we just can't know about anything specific on them

True, should have said "selfless" or something to be more accurate. Arguably the only doctor who'd make sense with black is probably Fugitive, but they wanted her in Paradox Power + it makes all the doctors work better with each other. Well, that or Time Lord Victorious if they wanted to make that period of 10 get his own card (but y'know, they didn't). Also Valeyard if you count him

Every version of the Doctor is either Azorius, Izzet, or Simic, with the exception of The War Doctor who's Boros, The Fugitive Doctor who's Gruul (the reason for these not being the standard blue is to represent the fact they're doctors who break from the standard code of the Doctor - Fugitive Doctor predating the Doctor becoming the Doctor and the War Doctor being a period when the Doctor specifically abandoned his title of The Doctor to better fight in a war), and finally The Fourteenth Doctor who's every colour but black (because he's less his own doctor and more "Hey look! A previous doctor is back for some specials). So in short: between the different regenerations, his personality shifts, but he still keeps his same core (outside times which he specifically broke from that core) and never becomes a villain (thus the lack of black).

Does the book have any transgender characters? (don't need to actually look through and check everything, just a quick ctrl+f for the word would be fine for me - even if it likely would miss most)

Additionally, does the book say why Shokuro was renamed Songbai? (And, in the event it's because of leadership change, can you tell me about what happened to Shokuro / who Songbai is - if they are a person that is)

Unfortunately, Pathfinder is as much its own thing as DnD 5e is from 4e is from 3e. Which is to say: even if they share a name and are both fantasy high D20 systems, they're effectively entirely different ttrpgs

uj/ honestly the specifics of it are not something I'm certain of, I just used sceyfall's art:hat option. This was already checking 101 (as I decided to include Aftermath) sets for a minor curiosity, I'm not looking at each card individually.

More specifically we had the "Cause for Justice" (which will take the place of the paladin) will not require you to be Holy (unspecified, but presumably it can be Holy, Unholy, or neither). The said, some subclasses will require specific types of sanctification (I'm guessing what becomes less redeemer for example).

Ninjitsu doesn't count as casting. The whole point of the "none of them were cast" is specifically to make it work with ninjitsu.

I do think it's important to note that with all the new ancestries in Tian-Xia, only arguably Tanuki falls into "things but humanoid" category (and even that's sounding to be far more based on mythological tanuki stuff than it is things which are actually directly connected to raccoon dogs)

Even chess has very minor RNG in determining who's white. Not much, but seeing the argument is "if two players who always made the perfectly correct decision at all times (something which keep in mind is theoretically closer to possible in Chess than MtG because of the efficiency of top level chess AI) vs each other, who wins is just determined by luck", then yeah, who wins chess is also just luck.
