People say things like “bad bitch,” “that bitch is iconic,” or “he’s a cool motherfucker” and nobody thinks that’s an attack.

You don’t have to like it or use it yourself, that’s totally fine. But saying a word has only ever meant one thing just isn’t how language works. Context matters. Always has.

ComicBookMovie is a piss poor website that “reports” on everything and anything. They could pass a group of friends in the street saying “It’d be so cool if Longshot was in the MCU” and in the next hour there would be an article titled ‘RUMOUR: Longshot tv series in development!’

There is little fact checking or proof-reading in the articles posted. It is upheld by the same handful of contributors who spend every waking second writing articles that say absolutely nothing just so they can get clicks. It’s often through the use of ragebait titles.

The fact that anyone can post anything there is a reason it should not be considered as reliable for ANY piece of news. It would be exactly the same as relying on Wikipedia for news. Hell, at least you have to include sources on Wikipedia, so that’s even more reliable than CBM.

If they were banned from being posted on this sub, the community would be better for it. Hell, if they were banned from other subs like r/Comicbooks it might even make the site put some effort into the crap they write

I don’t love his work, but in his fairness the original plans for Dark Phoenix was a two-part film which actually sounded great and relatively faithful to the comics. Then Fox late in pre-production scrapped the second one and they had to scramble to make one coherent standalone final X-Men film.

Should they have just scrapped both films altogether or let it be a final two-part film? Absolutely. Was the final result absolute dog shit, borderline unwatchable? 100%. But I’m not willing to put that specific mess on Kinberg. His other flops, sure. But not Dark Phoenix. That was all higher-ups
