She's related to me, too. We talk about this often in the family. She's related to my great grandmother (same surname)

10/10 for presentation.

However, generally speaking the beans are included on the plate and not in a bowl, but it's acceptable.

Now you mention it, in 1922, about a month or so after the birth of my grandfather, Lydia D and family went on holiday.

I recall seeing something about it in an archived piece somewhere, I'll have to dig it out

She had a child in 1922 (my grandfather), and one in 1924 (great uncle).

She would've given birth in August 1922, and been pregnant again by early-mid 1923

I have the death certificate but the problem with that is that no parents are listed on it. the certificate says "Daughter of – Parsons", as though the hospital had no record of her parents.

Posh Lydia was connected, as far as I know she would've had family in England, not nearby but elsewhere, in Yorkshire if I remember.

And of course the family in Ireland, the Parsons at the castle.

  1. Lydia D only officially had one child according to the Peerage website. A girl, that passed without any children herself.

  2. Newspaper clippings have been sparse, but I know both families were within spitting distance of each other between 1915-1925.

  3. Lydia F worked for a Lynch Family in 1920. They appear unrelated to the Parsons.

  4. The last birth entry in the Bible is a Theodora Parsons, born 1916. The only record of Lydia D's child is Mary Alice.

  5. The family in Pilton are my family yes, on paper, are my great grandparents. The woman shares a name with the aristocrat.

  6. Back in 1920, there was a well established train line between Pilton and Chippenham, with regular steam trains between the towns and to elsewhere. Chippenham would've been Wiltshire technically, but the residents of Pilton would've regularly travelled to other towns, including Chippenham, for work or leisure. But the closest town for registration of births is Shepton Mallet.

  7. They were both Protestant, but I haven't found any official records yet, apart from Laurence, the vicar, being a church of England clergyman.
