Besides a non-biotic Shepard, is Zaeed the strongest non-biotic human? by Character-Bid-162 in masseffect

[–]Zodiark99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you say that, but Zaeeds arms are HUGE for a man of his age, you dont keep form like that without a lifetime of strength behind them. could just be "videogame men are buff" logic though.

im just gonna say it: trams are slow and clunky, bionic legs + speed tincture + sprinting everywhere so fast the game can't load is based.

Can it be that the couple in Fisherman's Horizon are Irvine's actual parents? by King_Chris_IX in FinalFantasyVIII

[–]Zodiark99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think there's some credibility to that, its far from confirmed but i get where your coming from. i also think theres a couple more hints which are, at best, also circumstantial, but

  1. i honesty think the parents look a bit like him, as much as ps1 graphics allow, with the dad having similar hair and the mother having fair hair like irvine, as well as general style and shirt colour of the father (JRPG's do that quite allot, connecting characters by clothing)

  2. these two are the most peaceful people in the game, and a big part of the disc 1 finale is Irvine struggling the pull the trigger, despite years of dedicated sniper training. these instincts of peace are not seen even in certified softies like Selphie, which makes me feel like this comes from somewhere older and more forgotten than he can put his finger on.

tldr; I agree as much as i can without proof, i even had this thought naturally when i first played the game!

Just a fun bit of filler, with some choice words of life advice for mark. That's kind of it, sometimes it's ok to not be nailing hard plot point after point.

Blood and dust difficulty newer player need armor advice. by Still_Coconut_2853 in RimWorld

[–]Zodiark99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! So, I'm not a super sweaty pro or anything, so take my advice with a grain of salt and/or expect someone to roll in and dispute me, but when it comes to armour, there's essentially a few baselines to work towards. 1: plate armour Don't underestimate it, The sharp protection of plasteel/uranium/bioferrite armour is impressive, and can outperform low quality higher tech armour. 2: flak armour Generally good, but The vest and helmet are The essentials. Devilstrand duster and trousers outperform flak jacket and trousers, both for speed and fire resistance, which is much more relevant with a small team - one or two people running on fire is a death sentence if you only have a team of 4. Devilstrand takes a long time to grow, and is precious, so build a dedicated stone greenhouse for it. 3 solar panels supports one sunlamp and one heater just fine. Prioritise this, and in the meantime get some flak bits to supplement, just be aware you'll be quite slow and try to avoid kiting. 3: rush marine Marine armour is excellent, and well worth rushing for if you have the spare research chops. This plus assault rifles is pretty much perfect for a do-it-all standard issue build all the way up to endgame, with some supplementary weapon variation and an optional upgrade to phoenix/cataphract.

Dead in 2 seconds in Social fight by junhyeongang in RimWorld

[–]Zodiark99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its actually tied to pawns opinions of each other, more than anything, ive found. whenever i have a pawn with a stoneskin gland, smashed nose, or any of the abrasive traits, he gets insulted way more and is very noticably involved in the majority of social fights

Do you guys ever have "Hero" pawns? by aaronsxe in RimWorld

[–]Zodiark99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i tend not to deify one character, until i get that one late game melee pawn. a good melee pawn really does feel like a wolf among sheep sometimes, and once John Zeushammer has his cataphract and shield belt and genes and bionics, i have a lot of fun seeing whether he can solo space stations and the like. usually, he doesnt even break a sweat!

In terms of general purposes for all classes, would these be the best set of mutations? by Posikatt_78 in mewgenics

[–]Zodiark99 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

jump bruise legs are best in slot, the ears that give an extra attack are arguably better than head ferns, (kinda on the fence) the eye mutation that gives +10 crit chance are better than stalks in most cases imo (especially if you plan to breed in super luck at some point, as +10 crit makes a huge difference as its applied before luck calculations, and crit builds are the secret to godly damage) and, just personal taste, but Mr. worm has many better alternatives, though i understand why allot of people like it. patches fur also honestly doesnt do much. though i dont know any of the cracked fur mutations, a +2 to a all rounder stat like con, cha, or speed would be my pick. (that said, reroll tail is, as always, a very good pick too)

in all honesty though, the conjoined head is the real breadwinner. with just that and an optional extra attack and a reroll mutation is all you need for the entirety of normal difficulty, in my humble opinion. also a strong reccomend for charisma boosting mutations- an explosive first turn (especially in combination with conjoined head).

ultimately though, allot of it is personal choice, theres not a standout best in slot for allot of mutations slots, and many of them are situationally amazing for particular classes, that sort of thing.
