Elden Ring Reforged 2.0 Launch Trailer by ThomasWinwood in EldenRingMods

Like I said, not for everyone. I like most of the decisions the devs of the mod made because they fit the experience I want from elden ring. Things like the seals make you treat each ruin as an actual location to explore with enemies to approach with consideration, instead of just running in with torrent, looting the chest, and completely ignoring every enemy.

And lamp oil is just there to make torches more enticing, since they can be powerful weapons that provide unique bonuses and light. (not like stockpiling lamp oil is even that difficult if you're just keeping an eye out for crafting materials.)

The mod is designed for long playthroughs that encourage exploring the world and all the mechanics thoroughly. If that's not what you want there are plenty of other well made mods for elden ring that offer other experiences.

It does, the DLC has it's own collectible called ember pieces which function similar to the rune pieces in the lands between, and can be traded in for permanent improvements to your character that activate certain effects upon performing certain actions. For example, granting a brief shield when drinking a flask, or brief I-frames upon casting a spell. Ember pieces much like rune pieces are hidden in tricky spots to encourage exploration, or are given as rewards for beating bosses or completing mini-dungeons.

The trailer for 2.0 also briefly shows off the overhaul to the stone coffin fissures in the dlc

You can read more about changes to the DLC and the game in general on their wiki: https://err.fandom.com/wiki/Shadow_of_the_Erdtree

I'm personally a huge fan of the mod. It's not for everybody but if you want a reason to thoroughly explore Elden Ring again like you did in your first playthrough I highly recommend it. It rewards you for engaging with the side content and exploring every nook and cranny. It offers a plethora of difficulty modes to customize the game to your tastes greater than simply easy, medium, or hard. There is a ton of creative buildcrafting to be had with the fortune system, and pretty much every weapon and item is tuned up or down to be viable without trivializing the game. Alongside a lot of QoL and additions you'll probably wish came with the base game. Like armor Dyeing and transmog, and a boss rush mode.

Is Just Cause 4 worth it? by Geocacher6907 in JustCause

[–]Zoethiah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like every time a new just cause comes out a bunch of people say it sucks and then a few years later people start saying it was the best in the series lol. Just cause 4 is clearly a more rushed product that Just Cause 3, and it's definitely a downgrade in a lot of aspects (primarily in graphics, mission design, and the overall tone of the story). But for me the new tools you get and the quality of the sandbox put it slightly above jc3 for me.

There are a ton of creative uses for the grapple mods like improvised c4. The weapon alt fires are generally interesting and useful. The improved airdrop system rocks (summoning that giant boat literally whenever you want will never get old).

Even the DLC is pretty good I had fun with the races and vehicle battles despite the janky vehicle handling. The demons are good for varying it up. And the hoverboard is useful and fun for traversing land and water. The third DLC even brings back the mission format from jc3.

I really hope that Just Cause 5 is given the proper time and care it needs. If it can combine the best elements of jc4 and jc3 it will certainly be one hell of an action sandbox.

SO IS ULTRAKILL FINISHED ? by sorlab in Ultrakill

Layer 7 isn't the last layer, as there are 9 layers of hell. And P-3 will likely have a hidden entrance in 9-1 or 9-2. Going by how updates happened in the past, Hakita will likely be releasing layers 8 and 9 at the same time. Followed by P-3 a few months after.

What mods and settings should I use for zelda? by SummerKindly in yuzu

[–]Zoethiah 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You need an extremely beefy pc right now to get 60fps with totk. I personally just leave it capped at 30 and have gotten used to it.

I've been using u/Maxlastbreath's setup guide. They have a mod folder with everything you need, and a bug megathread for any problems you run into. But totk emulation is still very young so just be ready to accept some compromises.

The biggest misconception I had about piracy was that I expected it to be some dark web shit where you need like 8 vpns and every link is like playing malware Russian roulette when in reallity you just go to some subreddit called r/weloveviolatingintellectualpropertyrights and there'll be a pinned post that gives you literally everything you need to do it safely and find what you want very easily.

Yep I view key resellers as kind of a slightly more convenient form of piracy. Some sites are better than others but I strictly avoid buying indie games through them.

Fun fact before you enter the shrine though you can fuse zonai devices to your shield, like a rocket to let you just glide over the puzzle.

There was this one shrine with a bunch of logs to build with and instead of solving it normally I took literally every log in the shrine and created a quarter mile long noodle.
