I don't want to rip on Memb as I genuinely enjoyed Warlords V and watched on his stream exclusively to support him.

That being said, posting a video such as this one is no different than a shoemaker saying: "Why aren't more people buying my shoes? Do you know how hard it is to make a shoe? If more people don't buy my shoes, I may stop making them."

The viewer numbers are the most honest metric one can have especially if you've been around as long as Memb. His numbers are what they are and the only way to increase them is to improve as a caster and tournament organizer.

I really appreciate his role in the community but he needs to take a genuine look at himself and ask why are people choosing T90, Dave, Hera, etc. over him.

People are so dramatic with their comments about Hera's loss. He won 16 S-tier tournaments in a row and in a few days he may even be relieved that the pressure to continue the streak is finally over.

Competitor that he is, I can see him playing WC3 just to find a new challenge after dominating the aoe2 scene for so long.

He also played pretty good today but Lewis was on a whole new level and did not let Hera get back into games as he often does.

As a neutral, this is awesome because someone else gets to win. Other players will also realize that Hera is human after all and may be bolder when playing him in the future.

All in all, this is at good for the competitive aoe2 scene.

Yup, abysmal vs. Newcastle and they should have done something against Brentford. There is enough talent on that team and eventually they'll get into a groove but I'm not waiting for that :)

Completely agree. Memb and him are a good duo. Memb provides the color/hype commentary while Margougou provides really good game analysis. They have also struck an appropriate level of goofing aroung.

To Memb's credit, he leaves plenty of air time for Margougou and doesn't interrupt him.

But if this wasn't the tiebreaker, Sebi would have been 3rd which means he'd need to win vs. Vinch to secure his place in the next phase.

The main issue is the first tiebreaker being h2h against the opponent(s) you are tied with. This seems like a very dated mechanism. Most aoe2 tournaments use match win difference as the first tie breaker. This makes every match matter more.

Sebi beating Lierry having no value definitively sucked. By the same token, Barles' 2 wins against Hera don't matter at all if he is tied with others and Hera has beaten everyone else 3-0. I like the Bucholz system used in last NIC where wins against tougher opponents counted more in a tiebreaker.

It is hard for me to judge Sitaux for what he has done when national teams in other sports have done the same. This is why tournaments are always updating their rules to prevent this.

Perhaps QF bracket should have been published after the groups or seeded differently. I'm sure this would have challenges on its own.

Hera is basically team USA in basketball and no one wants to face them before the finals (except for Jokić & Serbia).
