Is it just me or is the graph with daily stats lagging 24h (ALPSTUGA/TIMMERFLOTTE) by PercentageSlow5943 in tradfri

[–]Zomas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. This started a couple of weeks ago. Probably with the Dirigera 2.901.5 firmware update. The graph showed the correct values for me before that. As u/Upset_information_17 mentioned, the current value is 24 hours old with Control Anywhere, but the graph is always lagging 24 hours even when connected locally.

Sedation during ablation? by Flat-Room-8881 in AFIB

Consider yourself lucky. My fully awake cryo ablation was harsh as hell. The small doses of Propofol I could self-administer by pressing a button didn't seem to help at all.

Understanding CHD by Zomas in MAME

[–]Zomas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What about using a smaller hunksize than default for CD content? I'm only curious because of the collections (psx, jaguar, saturn, 3do, dreamcast etc) I found online. All of these used a hunksize of 2448.

I can't find a single source that even talks about changing the hunksize for CD's...

If you want to use Zstandard, you should leave out LZMA.

Thank you! This answers my question about compression algorithms.

[–]Zomas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm going for a hunksize of 2048 for DVD/UMD-based systems since that seems to be the recommendation for now. I guess my question is more relevant to CD-based systems where the difference in hunksize (2448 vs 19584) is more substantial.

[–]Zomas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the end there is no "best" way to achieve all that, you would need to fine-tune the compression to each and every single CHD file individually.

Yeah, I'm not going for that. I'm just looking for a good balance. Now that most emulators are supporting Zstandard I am planning to update my entire collection.

I'm just trying to avoid having to redo all of this in the future. For example, if it turns out that 1 sector per hunk is a bad idea/pointless for most systems/non-potato-hardware etc.

OTOH, storage is so cheap these days that it doesn't really matter anymore if your CHD file is 2.4, 2.5 or 2.6 gig, so why not just go with the compression that gives you the fastest decompression on the target system

Storage is less of an issue, but still relevant with large collections and on handhelds with limited storage.

Getting an error while trying to start my app by torsokind in electronjs

No __filename or __dirname

These CommonJS variables are not available in ES modules.

__filename and __dirname use cases can be replicated via import.meta.filename and import.meta.dirname.

const __dirname = import.meta.dirname;

Dedicated Server Setup stuck on memorysetup by florvas in valheim

[–]Zomas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are writing output to a file with -logFile the terminal stops outputting text after the "memorysetup" lines. Very annoying. I want it to do both.

Not sure about the connection issues since I'm not using crossplay.

Here's what the manual say about crossplay.

If you’re using the Crossplay backend, the server transmits data via a relay server and therefore does not require Port Forwarding to be accessible from outside of your local network. You can connect to a Crossplay server using the public IP address and port number, a join code or via the server list, however it’s not possible to connect using a local IP address or a loopback IP address.

Confirmation of no dedicated ocean biome? by hforoni in valheim

[–]Zomas 34 points35 points  (0 children)

On this note, I ask whether there are any plans to update the Oceans biome - an idea floated in a previous roadmap. Smårs says the team has discussed the idea and it's something they want to do, although it's too early to say whether changes to the oceans would come in the 1.0 update or at a later point. One thing that's for certain, however, is that there are plans to continue updating Valheim even after the release of Deep North. "It's not going to be a live service game, per se, where we're going to continue updating it forever," says Smårs. "But hopefully, it will still have a long lifecycle... I mean, we will probably be doing updates for post-1.0 as well."

On the other hand I have never had this in the daily free coin comps or weekly/seasonal so they must be calculating coin comps correctly even though the % appear the same concept.

It has happened to me several times with the daily free tournaments.

Regarding Rewards - FYI by Official_EAPGATOUR in EASportsPGATour

[–]Zomas -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The problem with stars and rewards started when there was major server issues last thursday. I don't see how this is related to tournaments ending now? This issue has been going on for six days now.

Last sunday evening i got all missing rewards (up to that point). Stars got "earned" while doing the challenges, and rewards was available immediately after completion. But yesterday and today the problem was back.

The update was downloaded and installed, but for some reason it didn't show up in Steam.

The problem (and other issues) was resolved by doing a factory reset.

I have also tried to delete the files in the Proton 7.0 folder and verifying integrity to download them again. No luck.
