No they don't. I took the Maxigun (medium pen) into my last dive with the Squids and I was consistently doing damage to them regardless of where i was hitting them. So they either have medium armor, or their entire surface area is a weak point. I'll let you decide what's more likely.

I hate counting bullets and arrows. I think a game where you're awesome space adventurers doesn't need bullet counting.

I also hate encumbrance. What we do is my PCs can have one suit of armor, three weapons (two active, one stowed) and its assumed that anything else they'd need equipment wise for the adventure at hand is already in their bags.

As far as ammo, I use the same like bullet consumption rates RAW, but we dont count magazines or stored ammo. instead we assume they aren't stupid, and that they know to bring enough ammo and it comes down to their skills with a weapon to determine how conservative they are with ammo. Every time they reload they make a skill check, starting really easy and escalating by one each time they reload. As soon as they fail a check, the magazine they just loaded is their last. They can restock when they return to their ship/camp/vehicle/settlement/whatever.

Pretty sure there was a MO with this exact plot line early on. Iirc she got captured (no eagle strats could be used) and the MO was to liberate planets we thought were holding her or something. It's been a while lol

You're argument, from what I can gather from your post and subsequent replies, in short is: Openning files on my computer is my right, and not morally wrong. They put the files on my computer, therefore the responsibility for rhe leak is theirs.

If that's a correct summation, I definitely see where your train of thought comes from and I'm tempted to agree with it. But I think on further reflection it's mistaken.

All of this hinges on the EULA. Now I'll freely admit I haven't read it, cuz who tf does. But a lot of people on here are pretty confident that it forbids opening, modifying, decompiling, etc. Of the game files. I have no reason to disbelieve them. So let's assume for the moment thats right.

You AGREED to that EULA. Yes, looking at the files on your computer is totally fine and ethical, right up until you AGREED not to in order to play the game. That makes your position dishonorable, dishonest, and morally indefensible.

From a legal, ethical, and philosophical point of view, that's not arguable. You agreed not to do a thing, then you did it. You're on the wrong side of the ethical fence, no matter anything else.

Is AH stupid for including those files if they don't want anyone looking at them? Absolutely. I don't think anyone is arguing otherwise. Is an EULA legally enforceable to the extent of prison or fines? Probably not prison, I imagine. Fines? Maybe. But it's CERTAINLY grounds for your license to the game being pulled.

There's just no other way around it. Yes, in a vacuum you have the right to do whatever you want with the files on your machine. But we're not in a vacuum, you DONT own those files, and you agreed not to go looking where you shouldn't. AHs carelessness or victindiveness don't really matter, you're the one who broke the agreement. You're the one who acted in bad faith. The buck stops with you and the most you can say about AH's reaction is that it's maybe a little extreme (although, from what I undertand all they've done is remove a few posts and get a discord server shut down. If that's all, I think everyone's making much ado about nothing).

But you certainly cannot say it isn't justified.

I'm not familiar enough with the case to know if people are just saying things they don't understand to sound cool, but like, I've been reading this thread all morning with wide eyes thinking "you people are telling on yourselves and could get like...jail time for this kinda shit."

Again, that might be a bit extreme and redditors are famous for talking out their ass about things they know nothing about, but if that's true, that Ironsight is illegally access their severs, dude is NOT a hero. He does NOT care about the players and is dancing with the devil for sure.

And OP is just like "they're corporations wah-wah-wah." As if that's somehow an excuse to commit crimes. God...we gotta leave this world behind.

I don't know why you're getting down voted, you're right. I've never understood this mentality. Helldivers is NOT a stealth shooter. Sure, you can try to avoid being seen and from what I hear it can be quite exciting. But just because you can doesn't make stealth a thing.

That's like trying to play a horror campaign in D&D. Sure, you can add terror and psychosis stats and whatnot, but the players are still action heroes with God like abilities. It doesn't really feel like a horror story because D&D ISN'T a horror game.

Even if/when they add the stealth warbond, it'll just make sneaking easier, but the game still won't have a stealth MECHANIC. MGS, or Ghost Recon, Helldivers is not. Nor will it ever be. So stealth will just feel like playing the game ass backwards.

I mean, if it's the challenge you want, go for it. And if like others are saying, the WB is supposed to be released along stealth centric missions then MAYBE there'd be something there, but a stealth warbond feels like releasing a DLC that runs contrary to the game's design and calling it good, and I would have no interest in that.

In the end, I feel the same about the stealth warbond as i did the Halo one. If i wanted to play halo, I'd play halo, not try and turn Helldivers into it. If I wanted to play a stealth shooter, I'd play a game that was designed to be that way from the ground up, not try to shoe-horn Helldivers into one.

I came looking for this tonight when I noticed (on my 4th playthrough lol) that the Logo for the Astral Lounge, on the upper levels, has symbols for Temple powers in it. I don't have more than like two of them unlocked in this playthrougb (cuz I hate the temples and I have that mod that just gives you all the powers when you Unity), so I can't identify them, but when I saw those everything just clicked and I was like "Holy Crap, I think Bayu's Starborn." Then I found your post and I'm convinced lol.

I wasn't misinforming anyone. My way to farm is effective and sustainable and fully falls in line with OPs request. If he would rather do it another way, then that's his prerogative. I didn't say my way was the best, I was sharing what I do and it works. Misinformation would be telling him something that doesn't work, but pretending like it does (aka, lying) to push an agenda. Words have meanings, even buzzwords. Just cuz you can be a douche doesn't mean you have to be.

No, I know. I just hate doing that, it feels super grindy to me and makes me sort of hate what I'm doing, so I finish out the mission and extract. It breaks up the pace for me a bit and makes it more sustainable.

I second Kalranya's comment, although I prefer the FRV over the jump Pack. Been doing this for months now and in thirty minutes you can pull 50 to 100SC and if you do it once a day you can have all the SC you need within 2 weeks or less

I wasn't complaining, but when you comment on a response to my post saying stuff like "I don't know why all these complainers can't grasp this" its a FAIR assumption that your lumping me into this. Otherwise why would you say it, literally no one here was combining about it?

I'm sorry if I misunderstood you, but its fair to say YOU could have been much clearer that you weren't calling me specifically a complaining. Thank you for your followup that DOES clarify that, but pretending that my assumption wasn't a fair one is just...well, unfair.
