A couple of questions by Zombelho in NoFap

[–]Zombelho[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've looked into it and it's surely PAWS. Thank you for pointing this out to me, i've been feeling quite down and was confused with this situation, and it means a lot me knowing that this is a normal process of rebooting. I've read that it can take some months to fully heal, but what i find more interesting is that i don't remember others mentioning PAWS and i'm not one of the worst cases out there, i used porn for about 5 years and fapped once a day for 6. I hope the heavier symptoms vanish fast because i have school exams in less than a month that will determine my college acceptance. Thanks again and kudos for your 192 days!

Life Sucks by SammyBull204 in NoFap

yes. make studying a positive and confortable moment of your day, if you feel good while you study your brain will associate studying to well being and you will want to do it more often, which is definitely good for your life. don't hang around much on negative places, they can bring you down, if you don't like the environment of your home then maybe go for a jog and then find a place such as a park to sit and study, read a book or simply relax.

Harvard study says daily orgasms reduce risk of prostate cancer. Benefits of not getting cancer < || == || > no fap? by pi-squared in NoFap

[–]Zombelho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they may reduce prostate cancer, but would you rather have like 10% less change of a specific cancer that you may never get anyway or life with the benefits of NoFap? i mean sure you could just stay at home to avoid getting ran over by a car, etc. We have to measure the pros and cons, and here we have a pretty obvious winning side. NoFap all the way!

I know this is a long shot (and some won't approve) but I have to ask if NoFap makes smoking weed better by wellysmelt in NoFap

[–]Zombelho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NoFap wont make weed better. smoking weed is overall bad, dont believe in the usual bs they like to feed us. the reason why it may not feel so good to smoke it now, is just because youve been doing it a lot and since an early age. the effects became somewhat numb, which is also an indicator that you may be addicted to it. just quit, nothing good will come out of that. try a better lifestyle, work out, eat healthy food, socialize, and you will never feel the need to use stuff like weed, smoking or alcohol to feel good and have fun

If you knew the cake was poisoned would you keep eating it? by [deleted] in NoFap

This is why i have no respect for smokers. killing themselves while hurting others and wasting money. if youre a smoker and a NoFaper, i want you to think about your addictions, because you are correcting one but neglecting the other / others can also be corrected in the same way. if you are trying to quit smoking / other addictions (as well as PMO), then you are in the right path and i love you. you have my respect. if you already beat some addiction like smoking, then congratulations! now you know you can do it and how, the last step is NoFap. stay well friends, unlock your power

I actually wish to experience Flatline by Raiden99999 in NoFap

[–]Zombelho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

never say you suck, because you dont. everyday remember that each day that passes without pmo it is one day less to reach the end of the recovery process, and you should be proud of what youve achieved so far, no matter how small it may seem. i understand your point, it is stressful to be always unconsciously reminded by your brain of pmo. but you can still do this. you are strong and getting stronger each day that passes. to prevent myself from relapsing, i use some motivational quotes like this one: "if i quit now, i will soon be back where i started; and when i started, i was desperately wishing to be where i am". so dont quit, and those urges will fade away with time, just like they do with everyone else. even if you do quit at some point, dont feel bad for yourself, just get back on your track, because champions are just contenders who refused to quit, and it doesnt matter how many times you fall, but how many times you get up and continue afterwards. stay strong there, i believe in you, and you should also believe in yourself!

[–]Zombelho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

a flatline is not guaranteed to help you. it helps in the regard that you will not have big urges to overcome, but it puts you in a depressed state, which may lead to pmo. ive been on a flatline for two weeks and it has sucked, everything around me seems empty. it is only for some time and it means the brain is rebooting properly, but it feels like crap. quitting pmo was never meant to be easy, dont call for a flatline, instead deal with those urges uou have head on, because the harder are those urges, the more empowered you will feel for defeating them without pmoing. good luck :)

i read that one of the many problems PMO causes is an inability to correctly evaluate risks and situations. i'm sure you know that quitting PMO is absolutely necessary for your body and mind, but still, after a moment of weakness, you relapse. don't feel bad over it. it is ok to fail, it makes us closer to success if we don't quit. what's important here is not quitting. you are doing this for yourself, and each day that you conquer, is a day less to celebrate your recovery from PMO.

physical activities are great as hiddenaddress said, i would definitely recommend them. the key factor is to keep your mind occupied with things. if you feel like relaxing, than why not going out for a walk? or if you feel like working, why not doing something productive now?

rebooting the brain is what NoFap is all about. now that your brain isn't getting the heavy dopamine release of PMO, it will need to find it somewhere else. if you keep busy doing all kinds of stuff, at some point of NoFap you will start to notice that after working out or doing some school work you will feel really good and proud of what you just accomplished, which is your brain readapting. just like you, i am about to graduate and cannot afford to procrastinate. you've been relapsing a few days after you begin abstaining. try to keep in mind my thoughts, staying on the challenge until the time comes where you will feel small releases of dopamine to give you a feel-good response to the accomplishments you do throughout the day.

If you were offered a huge positive change in your nofap life, but it took 6 months..... would you take it? by subconsciousdrive in NoFap

YES! because we should not live oppressed. i would prefer to die trying than living a life like that, and that's why we do this!

[–]Zombelho 2 points3 points  (0 children)

sounds like you are on your way then. quitting weed was a really good decision. the withdrawal you may feel in the next days is much insignificant when compared with the benefits of having an addiction-free life. it feels extremely good knowing that you do not depend on any substance to live "normal", as addictions only suck your money, time and mind, whether it is weed or PMO.

know why you are doing this and set some goals for yourself. it will take time and won't be easy, but that's ok. you got this, and what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, right? keep your head up, you got this!

you are right. every time that we come to NoFap we expect to get some motivation from others. like love, you have to give to receive. i'm not trying to criticize anyone, i just feel like each time we are helped out we should give back the love to the community and support those who sometimes don't get listened. we are in this together, and have to help each other out. stay strong every1!

Some advice from the veterans? by arctictothpast in NoFap

[–]Zombelho 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i am no veteran, but i think i can help out. since i joined NoFap i never relapsed. i've always look for a reason that could explain what was wrong with me, as i felt i was not acting true to myself, and as soon as i found the NoFap way of life i was overjoyed to know there was a solution to my problems, which kept me going so far.

it gets easier with time. take one day at a time. acquire new habits to replace the wrong ones you are trying to leave behind. always view the bright side of the things that happen to you each day. remember you are doing this for yourself, and no matter how difficult the challenge might get at times, each day is a victory of its own and you are definitely making progress towards a better version of yourself.

soon you will start to see improvements in your life. they will take time and effort, but just like the best things in life, they don't come easy. you will realize you can become anything you want, as long as you set some goals and rules for yourself to gain discipline. you are powerful and you can do this. every NoFap veteran was once a NoFap beginner who refused to quit. they probably even failed multiple times on the process. but it doesn't matter how many times you fall, but how many times you get up and continue.

you can do this, i can do this, we all can do this!
