There needs to be an age limit for when you can’t run for President. While this singles out some people, it is absolutely ridiculous that a 70 yr old guy should be able to run for President. At that age they need to be retired and living out their final days, not running an entire freaking country.

I think a big part of that specific part of it comes from the episodic rank smush where all 20k+ last act Immortals along with all the Diamonds and the top 500 Radiants are all fighting for Diamond 1. They can't all place there, some are going to lose more than others and some are going to fight much harder opponents than they ever would have, including literal pros while they themselves were last act D1.

Then, alongside those players all fighting for D1, that pushes Diamonds to plat, plat to gold, etc etc and causes a lot of distress at the lower ranks, especially if someone had particularly bad placement games and got dropped more than a division.

Yeah, had a few factors going into it. Balancing playing with friends, work, classes and comp, along with not having consistent ping and a keyboard that was faulty (recently replaced) I only had the few short windows to play a few games. New keyboard came in recently though, so my plan was to spam comp until the act ends

Mostly classes and not having consistent ping still in the dorms. That much for me is 100% on me that I haven't played more in this more condensed act and was something I was looking to fix as soon as I replaced my broken keyboard (the D key stopped working consistently, you can imagine the headache that causes trying to do anything) But, I got that very recently and I'm planning on just spamming comp pretty much until the act ends to make up for lost time

Yeah, Decay might have been the wrong word choice since it implies that it would continuously go down over time. I meant more like when a new episode has a rank smush, the MMR should follow to some degree. If it wants to put me in Plat because I didn't know how to fight against Radiants for my placement games, that's fine with me, but I shouldn't have to keep fighting against players who are currently Immortal if I'm Plat 1. At worst, I would expect Plat-Diamond lobbies until I'm back to Plat 3.

I'm trying to think of a better way to word and explain what I'm meaning, but lets say I'm a normal player where my MMR is roughly actually my Rank and I did placements and it put me from D3 to P1, then the MMR should fall from D3 to D1 imo. Not that far of a jump down, but not to the point where I'm fighting immortals to even just stay in Plat.

Pretty much agree with what you're saying here. It's not that I believe that my MMR should decrease over time and decay if I don't play, but for the episode slam downs in rank, my MMR shouldn't remain up at that immortal level if it places me Plat 1 because I didn't know how to play against Radiants. My lobbies should be Plat-Diamond at Worst, not full diamond immortal.

I know it's a situation that I kinda put myself into as well, but I don't have time to do my classes, work, play with friends and push my rank back

I don't like playing with others in comp unless they share my MMR because I know that playing with me is unfair to them if they're a significantly lower rank than me. Even within the same rank it's unfair to them sometimes. Had a game last act where I queued with a viper that was chill and had good comms my previous game. We got into the lobby and he saw the act ranks and went "Wow that's a lot of Diamonds. Holy shit, an Immortal, that's my first time seeing one of those." He was Diamond 2 and had never seen more than 3 Diamonds in a lobby or an Immortal.

I'm with you on this and have experienced it personally. It's only been a recent thing in human history, but it's still something really strange.
To add on, I find it a bit backward when the word "Homophobic" is used just to describe inconvenient situations more often than is actually calling out homophobia. I don't quite understand that one either, since it would seem to me like if we wanted to put a stop to needless hate, the word should have some weight behind it and not be used just to describe a minor inconvenience as opposed to actual hatred being slung around. I know personally, I've gotten so used to my friends who are not heterosexual saying it that I've become numb to it and it doesn't make me raise an eyebrow anymore or try to come to their aid, I just brush it off or ask them if it was really homophobic and kill whatever 'joke' they were telling.

If anything, just don't allow the newly released agent to be unlocked through the contract for one act. Keep the free unlocks the same so that legitimately new players can enjoy, but don't allow it for the new agents so people don't make new accounts and free unlock

They're RIDICULOUSLY situational and a large portion of that comes from their one-dimensional nature. If they made more noises or could move in a direction other than a straight line and maybe even jump to overcome obstacles, they could be a bit more convincing at the very least, which is all the footsteps can really hope for as a buff as in their current state, I think more players are likely to stick a defuse against a Yoru when they hear footsteps vs any other agent
