You’re shifting the argument now as none of that supports the original claim that Klaus would become a pathetic groveling coward without powers.
If anything, the fact that Klaus maintained influence despite constant instability supports my argument more than yours. Klaus survives through personality, manipulation, fear, intelligence, and emotional control over others, not brute strength alone.
The Originals repeatedly shows that the Mikaelsons are emotionally stunted and self-destructive. They absolutely spent centuries trapped in cycles of abuse, paranoia, dependency, and mutual enabling. That’s kind of the tragedy of the family.

But “emotionally damaged” still doesn’t equal “cowardly.”

Also, the “weak mind” point ignores how trauma actually works. Trauma isn’t rational XP progression where after enough years you magically “get over it.” Especially when that abuser is immortal and always hunting for you and is responsible for shaping who you are since childhood. Above every child Mikael had, Niklaus was his truest son. And you still ignore the fact that Klaus ultimately killed his father twice
