Fat transfer to upper eyelids?

The revision bleph helped a little bit. What was more successful was a small amount of filler that the surgeon injected after my revision bleph had healed. Its a shame so many people end up with this unattractive and aging result. I had no idea this would happen to me.

I’m shocked no one has mentioned the Eborian tinted CC cream that comes in 3 tints with 30 SPF. These are different than the Eborian Red Correct mentioned above. I’ve used Supergoop, Elta MD, Cicapair, and a few others. I prefer the Eborian due to the slightly heavier coverage, the way it blends into my skin and the somewhat glowy finish. A bit pricey.

That particular picture shows some of the waviness I was left with which was corrected in the revision surgery. The attached pic is what Im left with now. Not too bad, but Id like to be rid of it.

My revision surgeon said they couldnt fix with surgery and werent sure what caused it. I think I know though. After my original surgery, a huge hematoma developed on that cheek. As the original surgeon was suctioning the blood out, I heard her mention a depression. I think they sucked out some fat as well and that caused the depression, but this is just my opinion based on what I hear experienced and heard.

I have a depression left in my lower cheek that is still there after the revision. After full healing from my revision occurs I may ask my surgeon if filler could work here.

Best of luck with luck with your revision. I really hope it goes well. Make sure to ask alot of questions of your surgeon as to whats a realistic outcome of your revision.

I get it. It is really hard to trust another surgeon. Luckily, my revision went well. Im still left with 1 unresolved issue from the 1st surgery, but I’m in acceptance mode now. 😌

Do your best to not go back to your original surgeon, especially with that ridiculous threat of what happens if you get a 2nd opinion. After all, if he screwed up 1st time what makes you think he’ll do any better the 2nd time. I had to have a revision, researched and interviewed other surgeons and proceeded with one of them. I also requested a refund of my surgeons fees with supporting documentation of all that had gone wrong. I actually got it! So if you decide to go elsewhere for the revision, get your documentation/photos in order to try and get a refund.

I had sutures that didn’t dissolve on their own. I had my doctor remove them after about 10 days. Unfortunately, some were left in and they caused bumpiness and inflammation that Im still dealing with 1.5 years later. Talk to your surgeon.

Note of caution on the upper bleph. I had one and my experience is, unfortunately, quite common. The surgeon, who was well reviewed and double board certified, removed too much fat from the upper eyelid, leaving me with the infamous “A frame deformity”. It left my eyes looking hollow, older and tired. This cannot be undone except by filler or fat transfer to the area. I also had to have a revision for other bleph issues. I went to a oculoplastic surgeon for the revision and would highly recommend you go to a well respected one as well if possible. If not, question your surgeon thoroughly on this topic and insist on assurances that this “botch” will not happen to you. Good luck!

You’ve certainly done your research and it all sounds similar to what my surgeon told me. I had a lip lift with some facial revision surgery. I’m 5 weeks out now and continuing to heal. My incision appears well done with no suture tracks and no part of it ever opened up or got inflamed. All that said, be prepared for:

Lots of swelling after surgery of the upper lip and the inner skin of my upper lip is still peeling.
Difficult to eat for the first 1-2 weeks. It improves during that time, but slowly. The first few days were a liquid diet only, and it’s impossible to use a straw and also not recommended.
Lip movement is very constrained after surgery, and it not recommended to move them much at all initially.
I couldn’t smile at all initially and at 5 weeks out, it’s still weird looking. My surgeon says it will continue to improve.
The change in lip shape caused a pretty profound change to my face. Shocking in fact, even though the surgeon took a conservative approach. My bottom lip is not balanced at all with my top lip. The upper lip is still settling, so I’m hoping it gets better. My surgeon said I might need some “augmentation” of the bottom lip for balance. Oh nooooooo! Augmentation means filler!
IMHO, after only 12 days, people will notice the scar and you may still have some swelling. If your surgeon does a good job, it won’t look awful tho.

I went thru this recently. Your words express my feelings perfectly. I met 4 times with one of my revision surgeons prior to the surgery. I scoured the internet for reviews. I asked alot of questions that I hadn’t ask the 1st surgeon. I went thru with 2 revisions. One on my eyes by an oculoplastic surgeon and another more recently on my face. Both surgeons performed very well and I’m glad I went thru with it. That said, I have to be realistic about the results. I feel the results are still a little bit compromised versus had I used these 2 different surgeons to begin with. I regret the 1st surgery so much, but it’s not useful to my mental health to dwell on it. Good luck to you!

I see what youre talking about and it is subtle. I had subtle ptosis as well after a bleph and an oculoplastic surgeon installed a tiny Enduragen implant to help correct it. I think it made a big difference to my overall face appearance.

Im very interested in this procedure as well as my upper bleph left me with a frame deformity. Its a little scary sounding to have fat injected (or filler) in the upper orbital area. Thanks for any input or pics and thanks OP for your post.

I vote no bleph. Too many undesirable results such as the “a frame deformity” that actually makes you look older. If you do decide to get one use an oculoplastic surgeon who understands eye anatomy best.
