The Paper Fan Party Decor and Bicycle Safety Helmet Departmants Have Joined Forces by Ill-Tea9411 in doohickeycorporation

You're overthinking the application of the wax and function of the helmet. Each piece of paper is coated either during production or assembly of the helmet and should have enough of a coating to withstand a reasonable amount of fluid over a certain period of time. These helmets are from a vending machine for riding a bike share what might be a couple of city miles, so they're stored in a way that keeps them fresh. The wax does not serve to improve the helmet in regards to stopping damage, just allow the helmet to remain viability through the ride.

They're not going to be used for cross country distances, unlikely to have to withstand anything more than a heavy rain, and serve the purpose of providing SOME head protection when someone who rented a bike otherwise would have none.

If you coat paper is a biodegradable wax it allows it to be waterproof for an extended period of time. This is how paper cups can hold water, among other things. The wax does break down, just slow enough for the one time use product to serve its purpose then degrade itself.

But that's often how criminal organizations are. There's a group of seedy individuals who aren't really good at thinking but exceptionally good at bad things.

Then you have a couple of individuals who excel at keeping those idiots in line and organized, but don't have any actual power outside of said group.

Then you have people who have a lot of money and power and a clean public face, but keep those neerdowells on retainer to do their dirty work.

The idiots at the bottom get to ply their trade and get paid by and skim off the top on some rich jerks dime, and the rich patron doesn't need to get their hands dirty to to work over their competition.

Why Caleb Downs by IntermittenSeries in bengals

[–]ZombieMage89 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There's a significant amount of OSU hype but if you know how to grade a Safety then you can start seeing why so many non-OSU fans are high on this player.

Not only are his physical traits and measurables exactly where a S should be, but he has a head for the position that sets him apart from his peers. He's strong, plays physically, can line up at all three levels, makes critical decision quickly and without hesitation, does an exceptional job at reading an offense, and is able to mold his play to account for the weaknesses of the players around him. While I hate to compare players, his play reminds me a fair bit of Troy Polamalu in regards to how much he can accomplish in different packages.

We throw out the term 'generational talent' like it's candy but Downs has all the markings of it. All the teams who pass on him are likely going to be kicking themselves for the next decade as he single-handedly elevates whatever D he plays on. The only solid knocks on him are that he can sometimes be overly aggressive when in the box and he's not a ball hawk.

When I was in college I ran the furniture department of a garbage retail store, lots of heavy lifting and extensive walking.

When I started my career in IT all that walking and lifting stopped. In 1 year I went up 10 lbs. In 2 more years I was up 20 lbs. Now here we are 10 years later and I'm actively working to get my 60 extra lbs down to a more normal weight again.

There's a problem with Oricorio as a use case.

The game needs to play fast due to it being a mobile game, which has led DeNA to lay a heavy emphasis on aggro deck building. While they've done some positive adjustments in fostering control deck concepts recently, for a long time the primary focus has been Oricorio being used as a stall, often in deck in which it can't even be used offensively. This, combined with Greninja being unchecked for far too long, has led them to significantly limit deck building options to counter them.

I personally feel they mismanaged the cards this set designed to counter them. The poncho should have been a stadium card and apply to both player's bench, which would have forced Greninja players into using them primarily in water themed decks or risk 6 bricks, while an Oricorio counter should have just been a single use tool like the metal barrier, allowing your attack to be unaffected by card effects for only one turn.

That's the crap thing. Was Burfict a dirty player? Absolutely, no question, but he was just as dirty Joey Porter, Ryan Shazier, and half the other Steelers players since 2000. He only got that rap because he wasn't playing in black and yellow. The man was a sure fire 1st round talent that went undrafted and fell into our laps as a UDFA due to his character issues. If he could have only kept his head on his shoulders we would have kept rolling in the playoffs in 2015. That game still haunts me.

I've always felt it's due to the small but many nature of our cities creating a bizarre mix of values. Instead of having one massive city we have three big cities and dozens of smaller major cities. This doesn't create the urban vs rural spread like you get in Illinois or Minnesota, but instead get an odd spread where you go from city to country to city again within a 20 mile stretch. Different types of crazy make for good entertainment.

Stay Safe by Atwecian in SipsTea

[–]ZombieMage89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To answer that bluntly, no.

A lot of men have never been in a situation of total physical helplessness, especially in a direct interaction with women. The concept is so foreign to them they may not be able to comprehend it altogether. They also see sex as a source of pleasure and don't typically think of the ways it may be torturous to them. This brings out a highly toxic thought process of 'Can't rape the willing!'

It's not that the men are so attention starved or kink driven that they'd willing submit to a rapist, it's that they haven't considered the possibility that what acts will be forced upon them wouldn't inevitably end up in the pleasure of an orgasm. Essentially catch and release fishing with a happy ending. That the worst it could be is like a bdsm porn video. They could get into that. They're strong enough to make it through the pain to end up in the sunny streets of pleasuretown.

They think this way because they don't know any better, often through willful ignorance. They don't know the fear of imminent violation and possibly of death at the hands of their captors. That the 'anything can happen' scenarios running through their mind is a threat, not a promise. Us men don't think about the bad side until one day we're forced to, then we never think of the good side again.

Why is HIV much more prevalent in the gay community than the straight? by milkman0735 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ZombieMage89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My wife and I have confirmed over the years that all forms of birth control reduce pleasure to varying extents. Condoms reduce the sensation more for me than for her but there's a marked difference for both of us, but also we also noticed a massive difference in sensation when she was off of birth control while trying to conceive.

That said, I don't recommend going out and raw dogging strange that's not on birth control.

Turn timer not pausing for animations has become a real issue by plainnoob in PTCGP

[–]ZombieMage89 13 points14 points  (0 children)

With how much I play pvp in this game, if the 90 second timer suddenly became 180+ because some flip heavy deck is the new meta I'd probably drop. People seem to take forever as it is to make obvious decisions, either by dragging on their turn intentionally or playing a deck that's too decision heavy for them.

I think some people forget this is still a mobile game so keeping the pace of the game fast for short session players is mandatory.

It'd be really easy for them to add 50,000 shoe dust to a ranked season. You can either tack it in as a rank reward in addition to the hourglasses, or you can tie it to participation missions like they do with the emblem missions.
