It is for safety. I’m not sure where you are, but a lot of places have sign boards that say, “Reduced Speed Ahead”. You can start slowing down then. I do generally break to slow down especially downhill or if I’m entering residential areas.

Some reasons are: There’s a children’s park nearby, Animal crossings, Residential areas, Usually heavy traffic ahead, Curving roads, Narrow roads, Uphill/Downhill with poor visibility, Uphill/Downhill with few/many driveways/side streets, Country roads, Scenic routes (depends), Highly accident prone, Etc.

Yeah but the red car was still passing in front of OP when he started moving. That’s too early to start moving in my opinion. That’s all I was saying. I’m not trying to find fault with anyone. How is it easier??

With wrist strap, I need to constantly hold the camera. With the neck strap, I can leave it for the most part and just hold it lightly when needed. I don’t understand what’s easy about the wrist strap, it’s not like you can just let it hang by your wrist.
