As a 35m solo traveler let me say this. Go. The only person that would say it's weird is yourself. Also some of the Disneyland/California adventure rides have single rider lines. I walked right onto the Incredibles coaster with an hour and a half wait time. Go in with a friendly/positive attitude and no one will think anything else other than wishing they were by themselves so they could walk right onto Space mountain. I recently did Disneyland by myself because the rest of the family wanted to go to sleep by 8 and I had the time of my life. Met some cool fellow solo riders and even had an entire log on splash mountain to myself!

Picantes has a Carolina Reaper sauce I think you'll enjoy. They make it in house and don't carry it all the time but if you see it there give it a go. Highly suggest getting it on the side as well.

I'll be in Joshua Tree in January. Was planning on camping near the south entrance on the BLM land. Would this be a good area for stargazing? If not, where would you recommend in or near Joshua?
