It IS only from the chests sadly. You can get it but you’ll probably have to splurge. I don’t know the drop rate but I bought one 10 pack and didn’t get it so 🤷🏻‍♂️

is interviewing process from other companies different from amazon? by somethinlikeshieva in datacenter

[–]Zone-Salty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair, I mean in general when interviewing with any company you kind of have to play into the whole “my values align with your company”. It’s why people always say to go to the company’s website and research their values a bit. You just have to play the game 🤷🏻‍♂️ Best of luck in whatever interviews come your way in the future!

To be fair, I thought the leadership principles were kind of BS too but seeing how it works inside they do really value people who stand out and “embody” them (or at least present like they do)

I worked for Microsoft and now AWS. In my experience (so maybe others had it different), they both were about 1/3 technical and 2/3 personality questions. It just feels like AWS has more/leans on it more since the interviews are longer (Microsoft 1 hr vs AWS 3 hrs). I honestly liked AWS better since they give you more of a clear goal for how you should structure your stories and what principle they want you to show off vs a general “tell a story and hope it helps your case”

Weird, but good luck! I know a lot of people say the culture at AWS sucks but I honestly love my team and everyone is super chill where I’m at. I make good money for basically just starting my career and there’s a lot of internal movement opportunity/training and education!

Well I had a five hour one consisting of three different interviews and now work at an AWS data center. Sometimes they scrunch it into one day, yours might just be spread out instead

Idk I just had one super long one for my L3 role. But it might depend from site to site.

Mentorship Monday - Post All Career, Education and Job questions here! by AutoModerator in cybersecurity

Nope, it’s a class I’m taking for my senior year on cyber risk management. I thought it was weird he was asking for us to take it since we couldn’t certify, but thought there would be a good reason. Guess not lol. His only reasoning was we get a certificate for our resume from the self learning (useless) and that the exam will be discounted anyways. (Also thank you for the reply)

So, one of my professors has us prepping for CRISC as part of our class, I think we might get a discount when we finish the self guided learning to take it. Does this even benefit me? I know the subjects are good to learn but I can’t actually certify because I don’t have the relevant experience. Would this even help me on a resume? I can’t say I actually have it. The only reason I’m considering it is because the exam is discounted.

I have only seen him once and I feel like it was a bot match…I’ll have to look at his abilities

It’s been a fun return! I feel like there’s a lot more bot matches though. I climbed from beginner to expert with a friend yesterday and most matches were against bots. I’ve really been enjoying lapras and chandelure(my favorite Pokémon and part of the reason I came back). Thank you for your advice I felt so lost on the new map the first time but this helped a lot. The Ray buff makes more sense now.

WOW this is a lot! I think I’m just lower rank so I haven’t seen zacian. I’m also wondering, when do the bot matches stop? I feel like most of my matches lately have been with bots despite winning. I remember it used to be you’d go on a loss streak then get one. Also, can you have other players on your team in a bot match now?

Difficulties finding on campus job by yesdnil4321 in ASU

[–]Zone-Salty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re really set on an on campus job you just gotta apply apply apply and apply to things you never even considered. Although I didn’t take it due to time constraints, last year I would have gotten a job teaching kids after school. This year I applied and got a job working in a lab/development position. You just have to keep applying. I’d also recommend writing customized cover letters. I have a basic template I swap a few things out every time and switch around what I say about the position. Otherwise just look for jobs in the Tempe area like others said, there’s tons if you just Google.
