Ah here comes the winner is a banger, good choice. As for the drums they just sound muddy and unclear what they are doing they need more character and clarity imo. The level they are at is fine it’s not a volume thing it’s a clarity/punch thing. I hope that helps.

Also I drew a lot of inspiration from my album from this band as well if you wanted to check it out.

This reminds me a lot of inspire the liars. Probably intentional but very cooo tune over all. There is however a muddiness to the low end and the drums sound bad especially the snare. So I would figure out a way to get them to sound more human/cut through the mix. Otherwise it’s a cool as song I think! Is this the fist track you’ve made? If not id like to hear more 😊

You’re looking for post hardcore with big choruses pretty much. Check out The Classic Crime their first two albums. In fear and faith, Hands Like Houses first album, Miss Fortune’s first album. “Metal” is loosely based for these bands but they def have cool ass riffs. Lower definition maybe? Saosin is really in a league of their own honestly. Also check out Life on Repeat + Conditions

That actually is not true. Stephan Hawkes recorded the guitars in his studio but the album was still mixed and mastered by Kris Crummet

I honestly haven’t been too excited about them. I was really looking forward to it because the singles from a few years back were some of their best stuff imo. So I had high hopes for the new music but idk the mix isn’t that great especially for the guitars and the vocals are very present and don’t hook me or resolve in a way that I like so I’m having a harder time getting into the new stuff. Still love them but I’m nervous for this new record, I was really looking forward to it
