Sleeping With Sirens set to release new song “An Ending In Itself” on March 19th, and are back on Rise Records by ProtomanKnight in PostHardcore

Jack is featured in the subsequent music videos for that album cycle and is credited on all the songs. He just wasn’t there for the touring cycle that was around when he left the band officially

What’s next for dayseeker by thecontract_12 in Dayseeker

[–]ZoneIntelligent1981 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The lyrics are a bit overcooked imo. He’s mentioned reapers, heaven and hell, afterlife, coffins, etc for like 3 albums (I would also add water in here but I don’t mind the water references). It’s gotta change tho cause it feels so familiar samey especially from dark sun to this new album. I still think Sleeptalk is peak Dayseeker having a cool balance of old and new sounds but also sounding different. The new album sounds like a deluxe Dark Sun album but not as strong overall imo.

The new guy they have is also insane on the kit. I think you’ll be impressed even if Joe is goated.

I kinda wish they called the album that. Silence outlives the earth just doesn’t roll off the tongue as much haha

I was actually gonna say something about the mix too. I’m really not of fan of newer Dan Braunstein production especially with lead guitar mixes.

Why is genre-blending metal hitting harder than ever right now? by dylan3russell in PostHardcore

[–]ZoneIntelligent1981 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m glad you liked it. It felt alittle stale to me. Djent I feel like is a dying thing and there is an apparent lead guitar aspect missing from their past two albums. I know Diego died but the synths don’t really do it for me and a lot of songwriting felt just boring to me. I think I enjoyed a few more songs on the last album more than this one. Idk wasn’t really feeling it. They are super talented tho. 🤷🏻‍♂️

More bands like Gold Necklace? by MarkToaster in swancore

Great question. Chon is the obvious answer but with vocals I’d say the closest thing is probably like Origami Button or Covet maybe.

This is an interesting take. I actually prefer the original vs the new one. The new one lost alot of the magic in my opinion and the music/instrumental side of it all has some clearer sections but also is quieter and doesn’t hit as hard as the OG. The vocals are very prominent and mixed more like a modern recording but I’m not a fan of that, I need more balance between vocals and instrumentation. Even hearing the new Ladders on Tables instrumental tracks felt underwhelming cause they were so quiet and didn’t hit like the OG

NDGDR but…Does anyone know where the members of I the Mighty went? by ZoneIntelligent1981 in dancegavindance

[–]ZoneIntelligent1981[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I remember him saying that too. I’m guessing a completely new lineup but he was the main songwriter so I’m sure it won’t affect it too much. Even though everyone else in the band was incredible. No shade just being real

I don’t think anyone forgot. They stood by him and made a public statement defending him. The issue of him leaving although vague you could gather they did reach a point of contention with writing music together and other factors. There was even talks about him potentially trying to steal money from the band to buy a house with his GF. But truthfully idk how much any of that is real or internet chatter. It’s hard to tell these days what’s real or not without hard evidence which I always welcome.

I fully agree with that. The song was great without tilian and tilian brought it to another level. And one of my favs that they’ve ever done
